you guys would never know it but i have THE WORST dark circles and bags under my eyes. the dark circles just keep getting worse and worse the older i get. you see…you get all glowy and beautiful (and perfectly plump) while you are pregnant and then after you have the baby…sunken in tired eye syndrome kicks in (totally made that up). at least for me it did. i think you never sleep the same after you have a kid(s). and it doesn’t help that i stay on my computer until at least 11pm every night and then wonder why i can’t fall asleep. soooooo, i am on a mission to find THE WORLDS BEST CONCEALER. i have all of the above concealers but i need to know what YOU use!!!

p.s. the reason you don’t see my dark circles in my pics is because not only do i slather on the concealer but i edit them out. just keepin’ it real….er, you know what i mean! =)

Glad to know I’m not alone – I feel like my dark circles have gotten so much worse in the last year! I need to find a miracle product too!! I am currently using Physician’s Formula Circle Rx Concealer because it claims to lessen dark circles over time (not sure if that’s true, but I’m willing to try anything!).

I am like you and have the WORST hereditary under eye circles! I have yet to find a concealer that really works. I was using Maybelline minerals concealer (I think that’s what it’s called) which I really liked. But then started using Tarte maracuja oil concealer which covers about the same as the Maybelline but goes on much smoother. Neither are perfect and I would like better coverage, so my hunt continues!

my sister in law fights the same issue and I am always on the hunt looking for her too. I read that if you sleep with your head more elevated it is suppose to help a little to make it so the blood doesn’t pool near your eyes (kinda gross when you think of it that way huh) Also you are only suppose to ever use your ring finger to touch around your eye area because it is so fragile and to keep from bruising the tender skin. Prob things you already knew but thought I would share :). Also you should take a real, no edits picture, your followers love you for who you are not because you look “so well rested”

Have you tried Benefit’s Lemon-aid (eye lid) and Boi-oing (bags)? I can’t live without them!

I love the garnier skin renew anti-dark circles. I am going to have to try a few of the other products you listed.

I have always had the same problem of dark circles as well. Recently, I have been using Bare minerals concealer called “Well-Rested for Eyes.” It does an amazing job of getting rid of the circles and not wearing off as well. When I first started wearing it, my mom commented to me, “It looks like you’ve been getting some good night’s sleep latey.” I wish, but with twin toddlers that’s not the case!

I use both the garnier eye roller and the maybelline age rewind dotter thing. Love them both!

I have awful dark circles too. Being a fair-skinned blonde is not always all it is cracked up to be! I started using Benefit’s Erase Paste concealer about six months ago and I really like it. I also recently got a sample of Benefit’s Stay Don’t Stray primer, which is designed to go under concealers, and I absolutely love it. It makes the Erase Paste go on very smoothly.

    Good luck in your hunt!

I have the SAME issue (& am 37, dry skin), thank you for asking the masses on your blog! I currently rotate amogst the Clinique roller ball, LORAC, Amazing Cosmetics and Origins, but the Origins is my “go to”. I always try to use something light (to avoid emphasizing fine lines) that still provides coverage & a brightening effect. The Benefit products are a little too heavy for me (as another post referenced) though I know many people who have great luck with them. I’m heading to ULTA tonight so I’m going to look around at some of the suggestions mentioned here. AND I’ll be checking back!

I have exactly the same problem with under eye circles, and have since childhood. The best concealer on the market, IMHO, is call Cle de Peau. It is said that it is the same concealer that Kim Kardashian wears. It is EXTREMELY expensive, so I buy mine on ebay, and have found that the least expensive option right now is a ‘But It Now’ of $58.99. Sometimes I pay $70.00 for it. :/ But I never regret it, and it does last a long time! Other than concealer, Juvederm is the best option. 🙂 Good luck!

I use Make Up Forever liquid, and it works ok. I also use Smashbox, it’s in a tube, and it works ok. I’m convinced that nothing will ever get rid of my dark circles/puffy eyes :'(

I’m so happy to come across all of these great suggestions! I’ve been using Mac concealer for years and although I love it, I always love to try new products. I was blessed with the “hereditary” dark eye circles as well….Not fun! It’s always nice to know when “you’re not the only one!”

I use this: http://bit.ly/vzyfzX in yellow. But it’s time to find something new too. My circles are outta control. And the wrinkles aren’t helping because concealer seems to sink into them. Uggggggghhhhhh. I’ve been eyeing the MUFE concealer that posted above but if you’re looking for something after trying that, then I’m looking too.

I use Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer. I really like the combination of creamy cover-up, with the super light powder to set it and give it lasting power. Dark circles are a real drag.

When I modeled (locally) we were told to use Erno Laszlo’s concealer. I’ve never used anything else that has come close to covering up the serious BAGS I have under my eyes!

I have the same issue and its gotten much worse as
I head into my 40’s. I have found what you use under your concealer is important too. I LOVE Kate Sommerville’s cyto cell eye cream. I then use Jane Iredale circle delete, light. I use the peach only on my circles and then the light color as a reflector. It works like a charm.

I have the worst dark circles I have ever seen and after years of searching am using Cargo One Base Concealer in color 002. It is hard to find but totally worth it!
