this weekend my husband had a conference and i went along for a little sun and relaxation. the conference was held at the surf and sand resort in laguna beach, which is literally right on the sand. if you are ever in the laguna beach area, i HIGHLY recommend it!

this was the view from our balcony. the hotel provides you with ear plugs just in case falling asleep to the sound of waves bothers you (yeah right)!

i painted my nails “hayden” by julep.

and then the most bizarre thing happened…my mani started turning black at the edges. um, i don’t know if it was from the seche vite top coat or what…this has NEVER happened before! and i didn’t bring nail polish remover with me so i had ghetto nails for the remainder of the weekend.

i found my new favorite drink…midori margarita’s!!! SO good!!!

pic from a dinner party we attended. the food, music and view were AMAZING.

i wore “the stylish housewife dress” out to dinner the night before at french 75. it was another evening of great music and food.

i’m wearing: c&c california mint shirt, f21 cobalt shirt, mother skinny jeans (i FINALLY found a pair of white skinny jeans that i LOVE), nine west pumps and taylor kenney daphne necklace (one of my all time fave necklaces).

and another pic on the balcony…where i spent most of my time. we even had a planking contest on the balcony. a little late but still hilarious. my husband won for best form. but he would probably divorce me if i posted the pic of him doing it…lol.

    Haha – that totally sounds like something my hubby & I would do…love it! I have never had the black edges happen on a manicure and I use Seche Vite all the time – that is so weird! 🙁 So glad you guys had a little mini-vacation…it looks fabulous!

    Very weird about the mani! That would have annoyed me to walk around with a ghetto mani. You know what I’ve done in a pinch? Just put another layer of polish over it, give it a few seconds and then wipe it off with a tissue. Too late now, but now you know!

    Sounds like you had a great time! I’m still kinda jealous that you have a dress named after you. 🙂

    This looks SO nice and relaxing ! Its so funny cause I thought your bottom outfit with the c&c shirt was this splendid shirt I had bought last week because it had a blue under tank and a green top similar over it except as soon as I brought it home and tried it on again the whole thing instantly crinkled and I hated it so I returned it for something else! I may have to get this c&c top thought because it is so cute!

    Oh my, I almost died when I saw where you stayed in Laguna.. I spent 4 days there about 4 years ago. Just A.M.AZING. I’m not sure I’ve ever stayed anywhere else that was literally feet away from the ocean.. and did you see dolphins? I remember all the dolphins… I need to go back. Thanks for the reminder.. how wonderful you were just there!
