ootd: mr. t

 

i’m wearing: jcrew chambray shirt, ksubi jeans c/o farfetch, malene birger chain necklace, michael kors charm moccasins, michael kors watch & various bracelets.

can i be completely honest with you? i did not have a post scheduled for today so i ran outside and snapped a few pics and threw on this new necklace just to see if i like it or not. what do you guys think? i’ve been wanting a big gold chain for a while but this one might be TOO much. it also doubles as a belt (not even joking) so its a “two for one” which is kind of cool. meh. i also parted my hair slightly off center to disguise my roots and it drives me BONKERS. is that weird? i could totally feel my hair out of place. and then i didn’t like my half tucked shirt either so i just untucked it altogether. whaa whaa…whatΒ  a debby downer i am today. but seriously, what do you guys think of this necklace? =)

    I absolutely love this necklace! I recently purchased a similar one in gold from a local boutique…also one in black rhodium. The large link necklaces are so fun right now! I also like the colored resin link ones. Yay on the “two for one”!

    1. I am the same way with my part. It only goes on one side… if I try it in the middle or on the other side I feel like my head is off balance.

    3. I love that chambray shirt and yellow pants combo. I’m not sure I’m brave enough to pull off the yellow pants, though.

    I love the necklace. I literally spent my whole Saturday shopping with my bestie looking for a gold “hardware” necklace and this one is perfect! Definitely out of my price range for a trendy item, but I’m still determined to find one!

    Some how the yellow of the gold with the yellow of the pants bothers me but it might just be in the picture. I love the shoes however. You’re tall enough to pull off the necklace but on a more petite person it may look a bit Gansta Rapper.

    Um, YES to Mr. T. I have a few T-riffic vintage chains that I wear layered, and love them together. Although sometimes? Depending on the weather? I get HOT with my necklaces all stacked on top of each other. True story. Boring, but true.

    Want my honest opinion? I actually love the gold necklace! And it doesn’t look like Mr. T at all. Now if you had 3-5 more gold chains in various lenghts hanging around your neck then I’d have to say you were Mr.T. But this, not so much. I love the chambry with mustard color. Those jeans are great and I love the flats!

    As for parting your hair because of roots. One trick a stylist taught me years ago in SF was to do a zig zag part. It works wonders when your color is growing out!

    I busy admiring/lusting over your yellow pants that I pushed my question (why did she title this post mr t) to the back of my head. Now that I feel properly admonished after reading what you said, I do love your necklace, but not nearly as much as I do your yellow pants!

    I’m not the biggest fan of the necklace (sorry πŸ™ ) although I am interested to see how it looks as a belt!

    I do love the rest of the outfit though – my Chambray shirt is my favorite piece of clothing. Yours look fab with those yellow jeans.

    Love this outfit! I’ve been pretty apprehensive to try colored denim, but yellow is my favorite color and these look so great with the blue shirt and necklace!

    EEEE!!! I love this outfit more than the whole wide world! Yellow’s my favorite color and I’ve decided that since my hair is an off-shade of the hue, I can only wear it on my bottom half. I LOVE those jeans. And I’ve been on the hunt for a chambray shirt! I know, I know… blogger behind the times. But now I’m in *desperate* need because someone told me about a great maternity photo with an unbuttoned chambray top. Only thing is, I’m not spending J.Crew money to get it! If you come across a more Old Navy/Target priced one, let me know! You look gorgeous and LOVE the necklace.
