Glossybox collaborated with Byrdie.com (Who What Wear’s new online beauty magazine) to curate the October box. If you’re not familiar with Byrdie.com, they’re your one stop shop for all things beauty…from celebrity makeup secrets to product reviews and more. I was SUPER excited as soon as I saw not one but TWO anti-aging products in this box…AND a mascara (totally makes up for another perfume sample). Here’s what I got:

Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream: A universal daily facial moisturizer that provides 24 hours of significant hydration. It is formulated with proprietary Super 7 Complex that is specifically designed to minimize and prevent visible signs of aging and boost radiance. My thoughts: Anti-aging + moisturizing = LOVE this lotion. I’ve been a long time fan of Fresh products…obsessed with their Sugar Lip Treatment (I have it in two shades). A definite keeper.

Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes™ Statement Mascara: Take your sultry, flashy lashes to the extreme with this amped up, ultra-black mascara that lengthens, curls and magnifies lashes for an intensified look proven to increase lash volume by 752% instantly! Powered by tarte’s proprietary triple black complex, this longwear, vitamin-infused formula emphasizes length and volume while conditioning lashes for a dramatic look that won’t dry out, flake or budge. The custom-engineered, dual-molded brush boosts even the skinniest lashes for an exaggerated, voluminous look. First, the shorter, denser side of the brush delivers the optimal amount of mascara to volumize and coat each lash perfectly, then the longer, firmer side of the brush lengthens and separates for maximum volume without clumping. My thoughts: I REALLY want to love this. I mean, the packaging is fabulous! But I had a bit of a hard time with the brush! I think I need to give it more time because with claims of 752% increased lash volume…it has to be good. All mascara’s are better after a few weeks anyway (IMHO) so I am holding out before I give a definite yay or nay on this one.

Balance Me Shine On! Tinted Lip Salve: This ultra-glossy, smoothing tinted lip salve hydrates, protects and soothes lips while imparting a sophisticated, natural ‘pop’ of colour. The “super soft beige” color was created exclusively for GLOSSYBOX subscribers. My thoughts: I read a few reviews that said this gloss didn’t last long but I am actually a fan of it! Maybe it’s because I am not a huge “gloss” fan to begin with so the “lightness” of it was a plus for me. It was not goopy at all and I love the natural tint to it.

BVLGARI Eau Parfumée au thé vert Eau de Cologne:  BVLGARI invites you to experience sensations of pure and immediate luxury in a unique ritual of hospitality. My thoughts: Not in love with this perfume but in Bvlgari’s defense…I’m not a big perfume fan. I will be giving this one away.
