Before I had my blog, I RARELY used apps. In fact, for the longest time all I had on my iphone were the apps it came with. But now that I have a Macbook, iphone AND ipad, I am slightly addicted to trying new apps. So naturally when StyleSpotter asked me to check out their new app (available exclusively for ipads), I could not resist. I mean, with a name like StyleSpotter…it had me at hello!

First things first, Stylespotter is a place to browse/shop hundreds of brands/stores all in one place. After you’ve downloaded the app, it’s easy to get started. You can browse items by clicking on the category you want (clothing, handbags, shoes, accessories or jewelry) and then you can narrow down your search even more by clicking the dropdown to browse by designer, store, type, color or price range. Or you can simply search using keywords. I was very happy to see that they have a nice mix of high and low priced items. They also have several of my fave stores…Anthropologie, ASOS, Free People, Zara and Forever21 just to name a few.

Once you find the item in particular that you are looking for, you can click on the “compare prices” button and StyleSpotter will provide you with the best prices and/or any coupon/discount codes so you can be sure you will be getting the best deal. Then you can simply purchase the item by clicking the “shop” button and you will automatically be redirected to the vendor to check out. Or if you like, you can save your favorite items by clicking the “heart” and StyleSpotter will notify you if any of your saved items go on sale. StyleSpotter crawls all of the websites daily so you never have to worry about missing out on another sale!

You can also organize your saved items by creating collections as I have (see above) to keep track of your faves. Lastly, if you’re simply looking for style inspiration, you can follow other users (and fashion bloggers!) to see what their latest fashion finds are!
