I signed up for Influenster several years ago and to be completely honest, I had forgotten all about it. So I was a little surprised when I received an email out of the blue saying that I had been selected to try Formula X’s New System XCEL kit. I’ve tried a few gel-like mani’s over the past few years and so far nothing I’ve tried lasted any longer than my regular at-home manicures…that is…until now. THIS STUFF IS AMAZING. As I am typing this, I am looking at my 6 day old manicure in SHOCK that I do not have a single chip yet. I barely even have wear and tear on the tips. The funny thing is that they sent me this coral/pink color (called TGIF) and I was totally not feeling the summer color (don’t get me wrong…it is gorge but I’m ready for darker hues for Fall!). So wouldn’t you know it has been the longest lasting manicure of all time?!? LOL. The only reason I had to remove my polish is because I had an event to attend and the color did not match my outfit. The other crazy thing is that I literally have over 50 bottles of nail polish and this is my first bottle of Formula X nail polish. Now I can’t wait to go pick up a few new colors for Fall. Oh, and before I forget…the top coat is extremely shiny and dries in record time. Also, the Delete All nail polish remover was super easy to use. I’ve never been a big fan of the sponge/dip removers but being able to do all five nails at once was so simple that I may never go back to a cotton ball and smearing polish around. The only con I could come up with was the decorative caps on the lids. I can’t stand when you have to pull the squares off to twist the lids off (I’m always afraid the bottle is going to drop and break when you pick it up). Also, the brushes could have been a little thicker…but now I’m just being nit-picky trying to come up with cons! Overall, I am super impressed and will definitely be buying a few of these sets to give as gifts to my nail polish loving friends!
