Last week after I had my makeup done for the OCSR shoot, I decided I couldn’t waste good hair & makeup so I threw on this jumpsuit and ran outside to snap a few pics for the blog (after we were done). I’ve had it for a few months but only recently took it to the tailor to get it hemmed…finally! I was feeling inspired so I even got a little creative and took some pics in new locations. I really need to do that more often. But hey…at least I’ve upgraded from my front doorstep. Anyone here been following along since then? =)

I am SO excited to share that I was selected to be featured in OC Style Report‘s “Blogger Series”. They hand selected ten bloggers (8 from OC, 1 from LA and me from SD) to be featured and I am beyond honored to have been included! Each blogger was paired with a local boutique and jewelry designer to showcase their new fall arrivals. I was thrilled to be paired with my FAVE local clothing store, Swirl Boutique here in Encinitas (they also have a shop in San Clemente…my birthplace)! As you guys have probably already figured out…half of my wardrobe is probably from Swirl!

The OCSR ladies graciously offered to come down to my place for the shoot. And they even brought the fabulous Dee from Swell Beauty to do my hair & makeup for the day. Let me just tell you….a girl could get used to this treatment! These pics are just one of the looks we shot but it ended up being my favorite. As soon as I put this dress on, I immediately felt like I was channeling Stevie Nicks. And adding the choker just MADE the look! I hope I don’t sound like a broken record, but I just have to say again out loud how grateful I am for the amazing opportunities this blog has brought my way.  I honestly had such a fun day with an amazing (and may I add…gorgeous) group of women. Thank you OCSR for making me feel like a super star for the day!

SO….I recently purchased two bodysuits. Not quite sure how I feel about them yet. I had envisioned this black one with my linen wide leg pants and unfortunately…it was much cuter in my head than it was on. So this is my second attempt and I feel much better about it having worn a layer over it. Maybe I’m not ready to bring back the 90’s afterall…

Have you ever put something on and immediately just felt like it was meant to be? As soon as I put this jumpsuit on, I was dreaming of all of the fun places I could wear it. I’ve been on the hunt for a small black crossbody bag so I can not even tell you how excited I was when I came home to a surprise package from dressbarn with a bunch of goodies in it…including this bag! At first I thought it was just a wristlet but then I realized there was a crossbody strap inside of it so you can wear it either way. I also got lucky with these sunglasses. I have the worlds tiniest head so I was shocked that these aviators fit perfectly. Don’t you just love surprises in the mail?!?!
