CAbi Fall Transition

It has been SO humid lately…and even rained a bit this weekend. The grey skies had me reaching for jeans & a sweater but then as soon as you’d open the front door, it was MUGGY and gross out. My husband and son loved it and called it “tropical”. My frizzy hair and I…were not as big of fans.

July Glossybox

“For July, we combat the height of summer with the products you’ll need to rejuvenate and recharge your skin. Refresh with the cooling GLAMGLOW® treatment mask, which works wonders as a mini-facial in a tube. The Malin + Goetz lip balm soothes parched lips, while the custom-blended Skin Inc serums repair sun damage. Get your skin back to tip-top shape!”

Here’s what I got in my July GLOSSYBOX:

Skin Inc, Skin Supplement Bar Custom-Blended Soothing Serum: Skin Inc’s Custom-blended Soothing Serum is a blend of two proven & potent serums from Skin Inc’s range of award-winning Customizable Serums – Ceramides and Hyaluronic Acid, especially created to deeply hydrate and sooth sensitized skin. Each of these pure ingredients is encapsulated with Skin Inc’s proprietary technology in a natural seaweed capsule to keep it potent and fresh, right till the moment you apply it on your skin. My thoughts: This serum came in three formulas so I am THRILLED that I got the anti-aging version! I am obsessed with the tiny seaweed capsules…it’s so pretty that it’s fun to use. But the coolest thing is that if you visit iloveskininc.com, you can custom create your own unique serum! I haven’t used it long enough to see results but I love it so far.

Malin+Goetz Mojito Lip Balm: Flavored with (MALIN+GOETZ) Mojito, our lip balm is scientifically blended to restore and replenish. Our hydrating lip gel easily integrates for daily maintenance, prevention and treatment of dry, irritated lips. Color and Paraben free. My thoughts: It had me at….mojito. My fave drink! =) But really, a nice lip balm to sooth my dry lips during the dog days of summer.

GLAMGLOW® YOUTHMUD® TINGLEXFOLIATE TREATMENT: Designed as a 10-minute professional ‘facial in a jar’ for behind-the-scenes use in Hollywood’s Entertainment, Music, Fashion & Award industries, for immediate camera- ready glowing skin. GLAMGLOW’s mud base is from the South of France Mediterranean Sea, home to glamorous Cannes, St. Tropez & Monaco. For Men & Women, all Ages & Skin Types. Use a couple of times a week or simply when you need GLAM-tastic™ skin. My thoughts: I have tried the GLAMGLOW eye treatment and liked it so am looking forward to giving this “facial in a jar” a try!

Mitchell and Peach Body Cream: A luxurious body cream containing pure English honey, organic cocoa, Vitamin B5 and shea butter to leave skin soft, nourished and delicately fragranced. Like all Mitchell and Peach products it contains steam-distilled floral essential oils from the Mitchells’ fifth-generation estate in Kent, England. My thoughts: Not too heavy which I like and is lightly scented. It is a bit pricey for a body cream ($61 for full-size). I will spend $$$ on anti-aging products but tend to spend less on lotion…

Philip B. pH Restorative Detangling Toning Mist: Water-light leave-in toner adjusts the pH of tap water to seal the cuticle of your hair, for a remarkably smooth, shiny finish • Boosts manageability and shine with Apple Cider Vinegar, a natural astringent and pH balancer • A featherweight blend of essential oils detangles, obliterates frizz and static, and imparts a light botanical scent • Spritz on clean wet hair—or use to revive your style anytime! Paraben & phthalate free; color & keratin-treatment safe. My thoughts: We’ve got hard water so the fact that it adjusts the ph level to seal the cuticle of my hair is very appealing! I always use Infusium 23 leave-in but this is the perfect size for my toiletry bag!

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR. Is it really already August?!?! OMG. Even though we still have great weather for a few more months here in Southern CA…it already feels like summer is over! Back to school commercials are giving me a bit of anxiety and I’m not even the one going back to school! Thankfully we still have a couple more fun getaways planned to look forward to before we get back into the ol’ routine. Enjoy your weekend!!! xo

Swirl Boutique Bell Bottoms

Olivaceous

I’ve been seeing bell bottom leggings all over my instagram feed so naturally when I came across these at my favorite boutique, I had to give them a whirl. I honestly was not sure I could pull them off but OMG…they are ridiculously comfy. Plus, these are literally identical to the Novella Royales except with a much more affordable price tag! They also come in a burgundy/multi color! SO cute!

Tip: If you order a pair…they run really long. I took them in to have them hemmed and realized they have a raw edge so I just cut mine myself and they look perfect! As for sizing, I went with a medium (since I tend to order up on anything fitted) but could have gotten away with a small.

Palm Springs

If you’ve been following my blog for any amount of time, you probably already know that we are Palm Springs regulars. It is our absolute favorite place to go for weekend getaways. Although this time we brought Eep* so we decided to stay at a more kid friendly resort which is about 30 minutes away from our usual destination. I had visions of reading magazines by the side of the pool but ended up spending more time IN the pool than I ever have in my entire life! I also always have big plans to take outfit pics in a fun new location whenever we make it out there but I didn’t snap a single pic with my good camera. So I apologize if you already saw these pics on IG, but I had to share for those of you that aren’t following…yet! =)

*Eep is my son’s nickname on the blog.
