I was recently invited to visit Ontario Mills (the largest outlet mall in CA) to check out their “San Diego Saturdays” event. When I say the largest, I mean THE LARGEST outlet mall I have EVER been too! With over 200 fabulous retailers, I was there for over FIVE hours and seriously could have been there for five more! My legs were actually sore the next day from my marathon shopping day! Not only are there major department stores like Nordstrom Rack, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF FIFTH and Neiman Marcus Last Call but I shopped some of my favorite stores like Jcrew Factory, H&M and Express Factory Outlet too.  Although I am still heartbroken that I forgot to pick up a few Cinnabon’s to take home! During “San Diego Saturdays”, San Diego residents will receive complimentary coupon books (valued at more than $500 in savings) so you can shop the hottest deals of the summer at an even greater discount! You guys…I am feeling a little off schedule since preschool ended last week. Sorry for the pic overload today but when you have the Viceroy as a backdrop, you take more pics. Well, I’m sure there were way cooler spots to take pics but we were on our way out to an early dinner and in a bit of a hurry. But since my hubby was still excited about pulling off my surprise weekend, he even offered to snap some pics for me! I picked this maxi dress up at my fave local boutique (Swirl, obvi!) last week and it ended up being perfect for Palm Springs! Still having Palm Springs withdrawals if you can’t tell…take meeeeee back!

This weekend my husband TOTALLY surprised me and whisked me away to our favorite weekend getaway place…Palm Springs. Apparently he had planned this whole weekend last month and then the San Diego fires happened and he had to reschedule the whole thing. We are TERRIBLE at keeping surprises secret so I can’t even imagine how he kept this one to himself! We kicked off our weekend with a little retail therapy at the El Paseo Fashion District. I’ve always wanted to stop & shop on our way into town and this time my husband was able to fit in a quick client meeting so it worked out perfectly. We usually stay at Alcazar but this time my husband booked the Viceroy and even got us a complimentary upgrade to a wetherly suite! He also arranged to have cold Corona’s w/ lime (our fave) and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us upon our arrival. How sweet is that?!? Then we hopped on our bikes (Viceroy has complimentary bike rentals for guests) and rode down to our favorite bar/restaurant for their world famous mojitos. The next day we rode our bikes again to Cheeky’s (seriously BEST breakfast in town), got massages, sipped cocktails by the pool and had the most amazing dinner at Citron. The weekend went by WAY too fast but we had the best time ever. We can’t wait to go back!
