When Birchbox asked me if I would like to update my spring makeup with a few of their favorite Mally Beauty products, I immediately said YES! I like to lighten & brighten my routine a bit in the spring/summer months so it was the perfect time to play with some fun new makeup. BTW, I was first introduced to Mally products from this lovely lady and her makeup always looks fab. She’s been singing their praises for years so even MORE of a reason to be excited to give Mally a try! Here are the products I used and my thoughts on them:

1. Lip Magnifier in Fierce: I usually use a lipliner, TWO lipsticks and a gloss for my “signature” nude lip so using a “liner & lipstick/gloss” in one just seemed too easy…like I missed a step. I have to admit though, it is kind of nice to just be able to swipe on a single product and go! Plus, I LOVE this color!

2. Evercolor Poreless Face Defender: I can only describe this product as a primer for AFTER you’ve applied your makeup. The Birchbox site calls it a powder but it doesn’t really feel/look like a powder to me. But it does give you a matte finish and minimize pores. All you do is press the product into the sponge and then pat/dab it on your skin (do not rub or you will remove your makeup). I’m not sure if it shows in these pics but my skin looked almost airbrushed immediately after applying it. I also used it to touch up later when I noticed a little shine.

3. Cancellation Concealer System: I received the concealer in light/medium but could probably have used their fair compact. The concealer works great for covering blemishes but was slightly darker that I like to use under my eyes. BUT I am OBSESSED with the SUPER soft brush and setting/finishing powder!

4. Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner in Lucky Penny: Unfortunately I have hooded eyelids (that are getting worse with age) so you can’t really see the liner in these pics! But I promise it is a great neutral coppery/brown color…perfect for daily wear! And a nice alternative to black liner. I also liked that it has lasting power yet was not a bear to remove!

I can not get enough of these CAbi white skinnies! Well, they are actually more of a straight leg but are tapered enough to be worn cuffed as well! But this tank might be my new fave piece for spring. I just LOVE the color combo of vibrant orange mixed with the pastel floral print! I wore it casually for a day of running errands but can totally see it paired with a pencil skirt and heels for date night too!

Once a week, or as needed, massage a small amount of Liplift Exfoliator on the lip area with gentle circular motions. About a minute later, thoroughly remove Liplift Exfoliator with a dampened cotton pad. My thoughts: This tingled a bit but ultimately left my lips exfoliated and soft! Will definitely use this product in it’s entirety!

Hair appears full-bodied and never weighed down. My thoughts: I haven’t tried this yet but my hair could definitely use some plumping!

nails inc. Brook Street Nail Polish:  Looking forward to spring? Skip ahead to warmer times by wearing this bright, summery coral. Nails inc polishes are professionally formulated for a long lasting, super glossy, flawless finish. My thoughts: A gorgeous pinky/coral color! Going to be my next manicure for sure.

My thoughts: Love the soft rose scent. Also nice to be able to apply a mask that doesn’t have to be washed off…just wipe off excess products after 10-15 minutes. Left my skin super soft.

Alex and Ani Scent 7 Body Mist: Scent 7 Body Mist has been created with the four elemental energies of earth, air, fire and water. This enchanting fragrance radiates soft warmth that flows through the energy sources of the body, encouraging emotional balance along with a sense of ease and comfort to the body and mind. My thoughts: At first I liked the spa-like scent but it quickly became apparent that it is too masculine and strong for my taste. I washed my arm off twice with soap & water and could still smell it.
