Boden

Swirl Boutique Romper

I was first introduced to Boden when the previous owner of our home received a catalog in the mail. That was over three years ago and I can still remember it as though it was yesterday! I immediately fell in love with their clothes and had the catalog switched into my name! So when POPSUGAR asked me if I would like to style a piece from Boden’s new arrivals, I was thrilled! I really had a tough time narrowing down my choice (especially with all of their fun prints) but I decided on this gorgeous ivory broderie (fancy way to say eyelet) blazer! I love it with this flirty ruffled romper (above) but can’t wait to pair it with my favorite boyfriend jeans & grey tee next! And you guys…it is SO well made! You will definitely be seeing it in heavy rotation right here on the blog so I will just go ahead and apologize now (#sorrynotsorry).

After the last week of dreary weather and what seems like a never ending to-do list (seriously, is it too much to ask for a few more hours in each day?), I am LOVING the splashes of color below! Talk about print mixing inspiration! Boden is definitely making closets fun again!!!

Strivectin-AR Review

As I mentioned not too long ago, I’ve been giving my skin a break from using my prescription strength retin-a (tretinoin) because it is very drying for my sensitive skin. But when Birchbox asked me if I would like to try Strivectin’s Advanced Retinol Daytime Treatment, I could not resist. Most retinols have a warning right on the box that recommend wearing sunscreen as it can make your skin sensitive to sun. So when I saw a product with retinol AND sunscreen, all I could think was MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN. I wear sunscreen on my face everyday so to be able to use a product that also has amazing anti-aging benefits and an SPF 30…sign me up!

Benefits (what it says it will do): Reduce the look of deep-set wrinkles & fine lines, hydrates and deeply nourishes skin, plumps skin to restore its bounce and youthful contour, evens tone & leaves complexion radiant, refines & smooths skin texture and protects against damaging UV rays.

Pros: Not oily or greasy. Did not interfere with makeup application and in fact, almost doubled as a primer providing a nice matte glow to my skin. No redness or peeling. No breakouts.

Cons: You have to reapply every two hours just as you do with regular sunblock. It is scented and “smells” like sunscreen. Pricey.

Verdict: I haven’t been using it long enough to really see any major difference in fine lines/wrinkles, but it really leaves my skin perfectly primed and I LOVE knowing my sunscreen is doing more than just providing sun protection! I am looking forward to seeing the long term results.

Disclosure: I received Strivectin-AR Advanced Retinol Day Treatment gratis for reviewing purposes. I was not compensated for this post and all opinions are my own. To learn more about Strivectin-AR or to purchase, click here.

The only con I have for this product is the scent. It is fragrant and “smells” like sunscreen. But otherwise, the

Do you follow the weather on your phone or via the news/newspaper? Because they almost always contradict each other…at least for us. My phone said it was going to rain this past Sunday and it was probably the nicest day of the week! So I was finally able to wear this dress from my March Golden Tote! If you aren’t familiar with Golden Tote, each month they launch two sales. One for $49 & one for $149. For the $49 tote, you pick 1 item and they surprise you with 1-2 more pieces and for the $149 tote you pick two items and get a total of 5-7 pieces. I love surprises so this is right up my alley! Cooper & Ella Alyson Ladder Stitch Blouse

I’ve been looking for THE PERFECT white jeans for years. EVERY single pair showed my lumps & bumps, were see through or made me look 20lbs heavier. Until now. I’m not sure why I thought these would be any different, but I was SO pleasantly surprised when they arrived. The pocket placement is perfect, they aren’t baggy behind my thighs (which most are on me for some reason) and the straight leg is very elongating. The CAbi website shows them rolled up and they look super cute that way too. And then….there’s this blouse. I mean, the perfect peasant blouse for spring/summer. I immediately fell in love with this print and the ladder stitch detailing!
