warm weather fashion

After spending last weekend in Palm Desert in 80+ degree weather, we came home to rain. Ok, maybe it was just drizzle but still. All I can think about is getting back to warm weather! So I thought I’d share a little (shopable) warm weather wishlist I’ve created. You can hover over each item for details and click to shop! Have a great weekend!!!

Bucket Bag

It has been BEYOND dreary for the past few days so I’ve been in NO mood to get dressed up! Don’t let these pics fool you…I literally RAN outside to snap pics between dark clouds! Thankfully this jumpsuit (last seen here) is just what the Dr. ordered. Totally comfy and perfect for running errands. But really, can we talk about my bag for a sec? Because I love it.

taking a break

Last night I didn’t feel like editing pics, coming up with a post or doing much of anything really. So I logged off of my computer and we watched our new guilty pleasure…Dating Rituals of the American Male. OMG…it is painful to watch…but we can’t turn it off. LOL. Have you seen it? I’ll be back to regular posting tomorrow…Happy Wednesday!

March Birchbox

The March Birchbox is full of products to get you ready for the new season! I’ll admit that when I first opened this box, I wasn’t overly excited. I think it was the lack of color in the packaging of the products (packaging gets me every time)! But after giving these products a try…I am now considering purchasing the full-size of two (maybe even three) of them! Here’s what I got:

COOLA Tinted Matter SPF 30 for Face: This is no ordinary SPF. COOLA suspended two skin-safe mineral sunblocks—titanium and zinc dioxide—in a moisturizing base to ensure a smooth, even application. Shea butter naturally softens skin. Age-reversing antioxidants like evening primrose extract and borage seed oil deflect free radicals, while naturally water-resistant plankton makes the formula extra-durable. My thoughts: WHY have I never tried mineral sunblock before?!?! It goes on like a primer and left my face nice & matte (not oily!!!). I will definitely be buying the full size of this!

DDF® Ultra Lite Oil Free Moisturizing Dew: A mix of aloe vera, vitamins A, C, and E, and grapeseed extract hydrate for supple, glowing skin. The fragrance-free formula absorbs quickly, so there’s no need to press pause on your a.m. routine as you wait for it to soak in. My thoughts: I like DDF products and this moisturizer doesn’t disappoint. It was nice and light and really does absorb super fast.

English Laundry No. 7 for Her: This fruity cocktail combines hints of pear, jasmine, melon, and apricot to create a fragrance fit for the warmer months (or when you’re longingly thinking about said months). Base notes of sandalwood, vanilla, and musk add warmth. My thoughts: You know I am not a huge perfume fan but I REALLY like this scent. It smells very clean and fresh! Perfect for spring.

Gilchrist & Soames London Collection Body Lotion: This natural hydrator is loaded with antioxidant-rich botanicals like red tea, soy, ginkgo biloba, grape seed, and milk thistle. Naturally derived glycerin and honey provide instant moisture, with a hydrating boost from brassica plant extract. Always cruelty-free, this formula comes to you free of parabens, phthalates, petrol-derived ingredients, mineral oil, urea, DEA, TEA, and propylene glycol. My thoughts: I like the scent of this lotion and it isn’t greasy. Absorbs nicely.

Ojon damage reverse™ Restorative Hair Treatment Plus: This luscious balm is overflowing with ojon oil from Central American rain forests. Rich in essential antioxidants and lipids, ojon oil (together with an infusion of Rouge Oleifera) restores the integrity of each hair shaft while sealing in shine. Over time, your hair will be less prone to breakage and heat damage. You’ll be glad to know that the filler-free formula doesn’t contain a single drop of water, and it’s also free of artificial preservatives, dyes, and heavy silicones. Plus, the invigorating scent is sure to win you over. My thoughts: I was first introduced to Ojon products when I lived in NYC. I haven’t tried these conditioners yet but am sure they will live up to their reputation. My hair needs all of the “damage repair” it can get!

Fashion Week El Paseo

If you follow me on Instagram, then you already know that I was in Palm Desert for El Paseo Fashion Week! And if you’ve been following my blog for some time, then you know that my husband and I LOVE Palm Springs! We usually always stay right on the strip in downtown Palm Springs (Alcazar is my fave place to stay) but since the event was held in Palm Desert, we stayed at the JW Marriott. We were only able to make it for the last two shows but ended up having SO MUCH FUN. I got lucky and was able to snag a media pass for both nights so I was front & center for all of the action!

Best of Saks Fifth Avenue

Friday night was the Best of Saks Fifth Avenue show and the place was PACKED. And of course, everyone gasped when the now famous “Lupita” Ralph Lauren caped dress came down the runway. It is seriously stunning in person!

Best of Saks

These are just a few of my favorite looks from the Best of Saks Fifth Ave show. I pretty much wanted EVERY SINGLE look that came down the runway! Then we finished the evening sipping on the most delicious cucumber infused vodka drinks at an after-party held at the Palm Springs Art Museum.

Zang Toi

Then on Saturday night, I attended the Zang Toi show and was simply blown away by the gorgeousness! The show opened with the pale blue stunner in front but the “brilliant jade” pieces had me picking my jaw up off the floor! Mr. Toi is known for his eveningwear and I can see why.

It was so hard narrowing down my favorites from this show! I mean, look at that gorgeous jade cape. And how twirl worthy are these gowns?!? I OFFICIALLY have the El Paseo Fashion Week bug. Palm Desert + Fashion = the perfect getaway. Can’t wait to do it all again next year!
