For my final spring trend (see pastel trend here, moody floral trend here), I decided to go with an “age appropriate” festival look. The key to festival fashion is really all about comfort! This flowy maxi dress paired with a distressed denim vest and booties is the perfect mix of edgy & feminine. And of course, a fanny pack to carry all of your festival essentials!

“Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking” – Miranda Priestly, Devil Wears Prada

Hooray!!! It’s officially the first day of spring! I couldn’t help but celebrate the new season by wearing what else…florals! As much as I love feminine colorful floral prints, this one has a little more “edge” to it. So today I went with a simple black & white look but am thinking I will pair it with a bold blazer next! I was first introduced to Toni & Guy’s Sea Salt Texturizing Spray a few months ago and I LOVED it. So when Birchbox asked me if I would like to test out a few more of their products, I immediately said YES! And now all three of these products are in heavy rotation.

Toni & Guy Volume Plumping Whip: TONI & GUY Volumizing Plumping Whip adds volume and body at the roots with flexible texture and movement through the lengths. Work through the roots of towel-dried hair before heat styling or diffusing, or through dry hair to create all day body without flyaways. Get the Look: I actually accidentally read the instructions on this one wrong the first time and started on my ends! Oops! But I added another dollop to my towel dried roots and blew my hair dry. Then instead of using my straightener as I usually do, I pulled out my hot rollers and set my curls for about 10 minutes. I had AMAZING volume all day long.

Toni & Guy Shine Gloss Serum: TONI & GUY Shine Gloss Serum’s lightweight formula helps control frizz and flyaways for ultra  smooth shine. Rub 1-2 pumps of serum between palms and work through lengths and ends of dry hair avoiding the roots. Get the Look: I dried and straightened my hair as usual and then ran this through my hair focusing on the ends. At the very end I do a quick swipe on my part to help smooth my flyaways.

Toni & Guy Sea Salt Texturizing Spray: TONI & GUY Sea Salt Spray creates texture and body with light hold. Suitable for all hair types and perfect for achieving a lived-in, beach look. Spray evenly from root to tip on towel-dried or dry hair and work through to create tousled waves with natural movement. Get the Look: One of the most frequently asked questions I get on the blog is “How do you get your beachy waves”? Little did I know that when I accepted the offer to review a Jose Eber Clipless Curling Iron a few years ago, that it would become my “can’t live without” styling tool. It creates perfect waves EVERY time. And now I finish my hair off with a few spritzes of this sea salt spray. It gives just the right amount of texture and hold.

Baby blue is having a MAJOR moment (which may have something to do with Lupita’s amazing Oscar dress) and I for one, am a HUGE fan. This pastel blue maxi had me at hello. I could live in maxi dresses…they are SO comfy and SO easy. With all of the delicate feminine detailing, this dress couldn’t be more my style!

So…funny story (kinda). As you might remember, I do Stroller Strides (exercising w/ your kiddo in a stroller). Each month we have a vendor of the month who raffles off a product or service. A while back, I was the vendor of the month for one of the brands I was working with. So the cat was pretty much out of the bag that I was a “fashion blogger”. Then after one of the moms checked out my blog, she came up to me and said…”Wow, I never would have guessed that you were stylish.” LOL. I do not wear makeup to workout (contrary to these pics), and most of the time I don’t even match. So when Fabletics asked me to pick out a workout outfit, I was pretty excited. I have to admit, having a cute matching workout outfit does make it more fun to get up and get going!

Sizing Tip: I would recommend going down a size in the pants (I am usually a S and I went with an XS). And for the top, I would recommend going up a size. I am wearing a S, but the bra top doesn’t have much stretch to it so I definitely could have worn a M. The jacket is a S and fit just right.
