Crocs Adela Boots

Crocs Collage

Yes, these are my real glasses. I usually only wear them when driving at night but if I am going somewhere unfamiliar, I wear them so I can see street signs in the day too! Otherwise I can’t see signs until I’ve passed them. I think I would prefer to be nearsighted though because it drives me nuts when my mom & husband hold things like a mile away from their face to read something. Just another random bit of info for you today. Speaking of random things, I really need to update my “About Me” page. I think I’m going to add a list of FAQ’s…is there anything you would like to see on that list? Feel free to leave it in the comments!

People StyleWatch InStyle Magazine

Today’s outfit was inspired by the December issues of People StyleWatch and Instyle magazines! As soon as I saw the “How to Get an Instant Outfit” feature in People StyleWatch, I knew I would be recreating the look with items I already have in my closet! Last year I was all about the drop waist dress (I still am actually) but this year it is all about the “flippy” skirt! This black one has become a major staple in my wardrobe (seriously one of the most worn items in my closet this year)! I topped it off with a basic black tank and my tweed sequin embellished cardigan. Then I decided to go with a “bold lip” & “mixed metals” accessories a la Jennifer Lawrence on the cover of InStyle magazine. And just like that…a perfect holiday party outfit with items I already own!

P.S. Head into your local Target and purchase the December issues of both People StyleWatch and InStyle magazines and you will receive a $5 Target gift card (11/29-12/7)!

Inkkas 2014 Collection

Inkkas Shoes

Inkkas just launched their 2014 collection on Kickstarter!!! I, for one, could not be more excited! If you aren’t familiar with Inkkas shoes, each pair is handmade by local artisans in Peru using authentic South American textiles. The colors and designs are seriously gorgeous. It’s like having art on your feet…definite conversation starters! By supporting Inkkas on Kickstarter, you can get a discount on their original collection or be one of the first to purchase from their new collection (estimated delivery on the new collection is March ’14)! I have the Mango low tops (seen here) but have the blackbird hi-tops on my wish list. And don’t even get me started on the new for 2014 mid-tops…SO rad (did I really just use that word? I think I did. Brought me right back to 6th grade)!  Inkkas were also just featured on Glamour Magazine’s Instagram as “The Coolest Kicks That Give Back”. Inkkas donates a portion of every sale to help protect the Amazon and it’s inhabitants. To learn more and/or help launch their 2014 collection, click here.

Also, I am SO excited to announce that ONE Stylish Housewife reader is going to win a FREE pair of Inkkas! Enter as few or as many ways as you’d like using the rafflecopter app below. Thank you SO much for reading and good luck!

OOTD: Reality

Stylemint Jeans

Two Tone Boots

Boyfriend Cardigan

I can’t even tell you how much I did NOT want to take pics today. But we are expecting rain for the next three days (supposedly) so I figured I better just get out there and snap a few. I wore this to take eep to school and then to run errands so by the time I got outside I felt like a hot mess. This cardigan is one of those that I know I am going to be kicking myself that I didn’t buy two of. It’s cozy, not too bulky and can be worn two ways. I’m really into two-for-one’s right now…lol.

Merona Cardigan

OOTD: Twisted

Daniel Wellington Watch

Me Too Wedge Booties

Elbow Patch Checked Blazer

These Jcrew “toothpick skinnies” drive me bonkers. I mean, I still wear them all of the time but I am completely uncomfortable every time. The funny thing is I have two pairs of them and they BOTH fit the same. I thought maybe the first pair was a fluke. It feels like they are on crooked and I am constantly trying to twist them to fit right. Kind of like when you get wrapped up in your sheets in the middle of the night and can’t get out. Oh, just me? I toss and turn ALL NIGHT LONG so this is a common occurrence over here. Random.
