If you follow me on Instagram, then you know we were in Las Vegas this weekend. We stayed at the Palazzo Hotel and had THE BEST time ever. I brought my laptop & camera with me and never once took either of them out of my bag. So I guess it’s true what they say…what happens in Vegas…stays in Vegas. =) Happy Monday!

Just a quick post today sharing an outfit that I wore to meet my girlfriend for lunch. I know I’ve said it before but maxi dresses are the perfect mom uniform (imho). I always feel comfy yet put together in a maxi dress! Now if only I could get better at time management. It is almost midnight and I am typing again with one eye closed. Over the knee boots are EVERYWHERE. Of course I fell in love with the Stuart Weitzman 50/50 OTK Boots but not quite enough to pay the $$$$ price tag. So after hunting for the past few weeks, I think I’ve finally decided on these! While I would love a high heeled pair of over the knee boots, I just don’t think I would wear them enough here in Southern CA. Plus a little part of me can not get the image of Julia Roberts from Pretty Woman (with the boots being held up by a safety pin) out of my head.

OK, so I kind of have a love/hate relationship with capes. But I REALLY REALLY REALLY love this one. I know I wouldn’t be able to wear it much BUT it is just too cute. It is in my cart as I type this and am trying to decide if I NEED it. =)

Nordstrom Cashmere Scarf, Mossimo Hat

I’ve had my eye on this cashmere scarf for a while but didn’t really want to pay full price…it’s now on sale so I’m thinking it may have to be mine! I already own this hat in black (last seen here) but I like it so much that I may just have to pick it up in brown too!

I have this exact same dress in aqua (seen here…btw…totally miss my long hair when I look at that post). I found this one at my local Nordstrom Rack back in July. And well, you can never have too many LBD’s in my opinion. It has been waiting patiently in the back of my closet to be worn until now.

UPDATE: For anyone who is following along on the preschool situation, I am THRILLED to share that Eep is doing SO much better! Today he actually RAN to the teacher smiling when I told him I was leaving. My heart was BURSTING with pride when I walked out the door. It was the first full day (well, 2.5 hours) that I truly got to enjoy a little alone time. Although all I did was come home and clean up the house! It is so hard when you are in the thick of things to remember that…this too shall pass. Thanks again for all of your support.

It was FUH-reezing today. By freezing, I mean 62 degrees. So it was fun to bundle up but I forgot how much I do not like taking pics in gloomy weather. Luckily I loaded up on cardigans on my last trip to Target (including the one I am wearing today). I also actually ended up returning one of my Philip Lim for Target bags and may have a giveaway for the other one. I love big bags (as you can tell from the one I’m wearing today) but for some reason I find the Phillip Lim bags to be awkwardly large. I had my receipt so I got a full refund but was tempted to repurchase it when I found out it was on sale for $27!  But I resisted. Yay me!
