Before I started blogging, I was not much of an online shopper. I mean, obviously I shopped major department stores but Sosie was one of the first boutique stores that I shopped online. I was obsessed with this chevron dress and was SO sad that it was sold out. Then when it came back in stock, I bought it ASAP. I went through quite a chevron obsession and bought this dress too. So needless to say, I was thrilled when Sosie contacted me to style a few of their new arrivals. Last week I wore their La Vie Boheme dress & the Bilton shift dress. But this maxi dress is my absolute FAVE of all. It is SO comfy & I just LOVE the colors.

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect check print piece to add to my closet and this shift dress had my name written all over it. And then I went a little matchy-matchy with my print mixing and threw on a matching cardigan. I just love navy & camel together…such a classic combo!

I have been DYING to find THE perfect concealer. Sadly, I still haven’t found “the one”. I keep seeing fabulous HAC (highlight & contour) tutorials on Pinterest (here and here) and I really want that bright under eye glow like Kim Kardashian always has. My husband is going to roll his eyes when he reads that one….he is NOT a fan. SO please ignore my stringy hair in that last pic but I was trying to get a close-up (not TOO close) of my makeup. This was actually a combination of like 5 concealers and although it photographed ok, it was way too cakey in real life. Also…I don’t know how anyone applies concealer AFTER foundation. It never works for me!

I’m not used to seeing myself so covered up! But I have to say that this quilted vest is the perfect piece for a southern ca girl. I originally wanted the camo version but figured I would get more use out of the black. This is also a preppier look than I normally gravitate to but as I always say…the great thing about clothes is you get to be whoever you want each day. =)

I was totally looking forward to the rain today so I could dress all cute & cozy. Then I saw this sweatshirt folded up in my closet calling my name and called it a day. As soon as my husband walked in the door, he said he thought I was getting an 80’s Halloween costume together and proceeded to call me Debbie Gibson for the rest of the day.
