Sosie

So just as I started to write this post, I heard on the news that Michael Jackson’s Thriller debuted THIRTY years ago!?!?! Are you kidding me? I remember it like it was yesterday! THAT is scary. Speaking of scary, I didn’t even realize that Halloween is THIS Thursday! At least Eep already picked out his costume. He decided on a skeleton although he calls it a pirate? So now we just say he is going to be a pirate skeleton. LOL. I’ll be shocked if he even actually wears it the day of! I haven’t dressed up in years but after pulling out my Minnetonka boots this weekend, I’m thinking I might just DIY a Pocahontas costume!

I snapped these pics last night before I went out for a “night of shopping” with my girlfriends for moms night out. Swirl was having an after hours VIP shopping event and of course I never come home empty handed (this belt came home with me). I kept it casual & comfy with this low-key look. Although I can totally hear my grandma/pa saying “You paid HOW MUCH for a shirt with HOLES in it?!?”. =) Have a FAB weekend friends!

I have been totally lame and NOT doing my nails lately. And then I went and chewed them off SO short that I couldn’t even paint them (tmi?). Thankfully Revlon sent over these new Revlon by Marchesa nail appliques and lit my manicure flame again! The limited edition nail strips come in 8 shades (I’m wearing “Gilded Mosaic”) and are super easy to apply…although I like to trim the stickers and THEN file them. Have you given nail strips a try?

Disclaimer: Revlon gifted me these nail strips. All opinions are my own.

October Birchbox

The October Birchbox was full of Birchbox’s favorite products…award winners, celeb faves & up-and-comer products! Here’s what I got:

12 Benefits™ Instant Healthy Hair Treatment: A potent combination of natural lipids and UV absorbers work together to reverse the damage caused by hair dyes, heat styling, and environmental aggressors. My thoughts: I am a diehard Infusium23 user but this spray has so many other benefits that I MAY have to switch it up!!!

Supergoop!® City Sunscreen Serum: Supergoop!®’s unique Hydrovotin 24 complex works with the skin’s own moisture mechanisms to increase hydration levels, while vitamins E and B5 heal past damage. A chemical sunscreen duo absorbs both UVA rays that lead to premature aging and UVB rays that cause sunburn. My thoughts: I like this sunscreen but mostly I love having trial sizes to keep in my purse & car at all times!

Karuna Hydrating Treatment Mask: Every Karuna Mask contains Beauty Boost, a special blend of natural antioxidants that nourishes all skin types. And since the cloth is also all-natural, your pores will absorb up to 50 percent more moisture than from synthetic versions. My thoughts: SO fun & easy to use. Left my skin feeling refreshed. I would definitely repurchase these!!!

POP Beauty Aqua Lacquer: Each glossy shade is infused with vitamin E and jojoba oil, which provide natural moisture for soft, smooth lips. My thoughts: I’m not usually a gloss girl…but this has a nice light tint to it (not hot pink like shown) and is not sticky at all.

ChapStick® Hydration Lock: The clinically tested formula forms a barrier that traps existing moisture while also drawing it in from the outside. Antioxidant CoQ10 delivers protection from free radicals directly to your lips. Vitamin E, that mainstay of skin health, completes the picture for a softer, silkier pout that also appears fuller thanks to the moisture boost. Sensory bonus: This formula smells like delicious Vanilla Crème. My thoughts: First things first….HIDE THIS FROM MY HUSBAND. He ALWAYS steals my chapsticks or any lip balm that resembles it. I’m not normally a huge chapstick fan (too waxy) but this one is WAY more moisturizing. And I like the light vanilla scent.

Karuna Hydrating Mask

P.S. If you follow me on Instagram, then you would have seen this fab pic of me giving the Karuna mask a try…looks totally creepy but totally hydrating! Two thumbs up. To learn more about Birchbox or to join, click here.
