I pinned this up-do on pinterest and never clicked through to see how it is actually done. So I’m hoping I did it right from memory. Even though I chopped my hair off, it has been so humid that I just want my hair completely OFF of my neck. I was surprised at how easy it was and it stayed up without any pins…I just rolled my hair into a low pony and tucked it into the headband at the base.

Also, I have a slight obsession with grey tees so I finally caved and bought this one after Nicole posted the link on her blog (thanks lady!). It was sold out the last time I tried to buy one. But when it arrived, the crew neck was just a little too tight so I cut it into a scoop neck so I could wear it off the shoulder instead (also trimmed the sleeves). I wore it casual with sandals in the day and just let my hair down and threw on my metallic heels for a drink with my hubby later!

I don’t know how much longer I can take this humidity. I don’t mind warm weather but when it is too hot out to even drink my morning coffee, we have a problem. =) At least I’ve been able to wear some of my fave summertime dresses. Now I just need to work on my farmers tan…lol.

It was BLAZING hot (and humid) this weekend so we pretty much spent every waking moment outdoors eating otter pops, playing in the sprinklers or drinking a corona to cool off. And then on Sunday we had our annual community 4th of July parade! Summer has officially begun!
