Chloe Butterfly Sunglasses

I have a confession to make…I splurge on statement sunglasses. I know SO many people that buy cheapies (which I also have several of) because sunglasses are so easily misplaced. But there is something to be said for having a nice pair of sunglasses that don’t fall off when you look down. And I would argue that they can sometimes “make” an outfit if done right. Plus, it doesn’t matter if you gain or lose weight, your sunglasses will still fit!

I’ve worn my Tom Ford aviators SO many times that the cost per wear has to be in the somewhere in the pennies per wear range! So many people have asked me over the years where I got them and unfortunately they’ve been sold out EVERYWHERE. But my friend just found them on MAJOR markdown at Nordstrom Rack. Seriously ladies, get yourself a pair. I’m thinking about ordering a backup pair!

P.S. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite designer statement sunglasses below. Including my new favorite aviators and the Chloe Carlina sunglasses I’m wearing above.

So tell me, do you splurge on sunglasses?

Joseph A. Off the Shoulder

No…I didn’t have my Beyonce hair fan going for these photos. Although I’m starting to think I should use one. LOL! I also felt a little RHOC with my citrus theme. Do they still even hold oranges in the intro? All I know is I was snapping these pics and the orange tree was calling my name.

I don’t know about you guys, but I am thrilled that the off the shoulder trend is still going strong. This Joseph A. Off The Shoulder Ruffle Sweater is my new favorite. It is currently on sale for only $29.99 and if you use code SHW35 at checkout, you’ll get an additional 35% off your purchase! It also comes in pink as well as black. Once again, Joseph A. does not disappoint in the quality department. Their sweaters & cardigans are so well made!

You NEED this cardigan in your life…and in all colors. It is a great lightweight option for us Southern Ca girls who are freezing in the morning and hot by noon.

Kind Health Group Encinitas

I gained close to 60 pounds when I was pregnant with my son. Granted, that was seven years ago. BUT, my lower abdomen has never been the same. I think I always had a bit of a pooch but over the years it’s gotten worse. I’m pretty certain my abdominal muscles never fully closed and I had a c-section to make matters worse. So last week I decided to try SculpSure.

Keeping It Real.

I want to preface this post with the fact that I only post THE BEST photos on my blog and social media channels. My Instagram feed is 100% the highlight reel. Every time I take photos for the blog, I shoot a minimum of 100 pictures and those get narrowed down to about 4 or 5. After eight years of taking my own photos, I know my angles. I know how to suck in my stomach, how to stand, and most importantly, how to dress to camouflage my flaws. So you guys never see the images of me with my bad posture or stomach pooching out.

Kind Health Group Encinitas

Last week I decided to visit Dr. Nanos at Kind Health Group (located in Encinitas, CA) to get a SculpSure treatment. First of all, their new office is so adorable. They call the front office “the living room” and it looks and feels just as cozy as it sounds. All of the treatment rooms are bright and airy. Air diffusers fill the rooms with a calming citrus scent. And they even made sure my favorite tunes were playing while I had my treatment. Guess who was singing along to WHAM, Michael Jackson and even Hall & Oats? Ha! Dr. Nanos & her team were all amazing…making sure I was comfortable and answering all of my questions. I felt like I was having a spa day hanging with my girlfriends!

 SculpSure

For maximum results, we decided to treat two areas…my stomach and my flanks (love handles). The SculpSure machine has four panels that attach with a belt. They can be configured different ways to target your problem areas and each area/treatment takes 25 minutes.

We did my stomach first and I’m not going to lie…it was pretty uncomfortable. The top portion hurt worse than the lower portion and it felt like my stomach was super tense…almost like my stomach was twisted in knots. The best way I can explain it was intense hunger pangs or maybe even what I imagine a contraction would feel like (remember I had a c-section so never experienced contractions).

Obviously it wasn’t too bad though because I am grinning ear to ear in the pic below when we moved the panels to my love handles. It really didn’t hurt at all on my backside…just a few stinging sensations but completely tolerable. And I’m pretty sure they had it at the highest level of intensity.

How SculpSure Works

Targeted laser energy heats fat cells under the skin without affecting the skins surface. SculpSure raises the temperature of fat cells damaging their structural integrity. Over the next three months, the damaged fat cells are processed and eliminated by the body’s lymphatic system. Fat cells are permanently removed and will not regenerate. Results can be seen as soon as six weeks, and optimal results are typically seen at twelve weeks. Click here to learn more.

SculpSure

Results can be seen after just one treatment, but I’ve already scheduled my second treatment for the first week in June. I will be posting my before and after photos at that time so be sure and check back. And if you have any questions at all, please leave them in the comments and I will be sure to get back to you!

P.S. Get 20% off one area or 35% off two or more areas on your first SculpSure treatment just by mentioning “The Stylish Housewife” when you book!

Kind Health Group is located at 351 Santa Fe Dr., Ste. #220, Encinitas CA 92024 . To book an appointment, call: 760-701-5463 (KIND). You can also follow Kind Health Group on Instagram and/or Facebook.

Joseph A. Black Ruffle Sleeve Cardigan

One of my absolute favorite color combos to wear is black, white and olive green. Everyone has these staple colors in their closets and they can be mixed and matched so easily! Anyone who knows me, knows I love a white tee and cardigan combo. It’s pretty much my daily uniform if I’m being completely honest. Lately I’ve been reaching for my duster length cardi’s. Especially this ruffle sleeve style by Joseph A. I’ve worn it casually many times but it just as easily can be dressed up for GNO or date night with a dress & heels. It is lightweight and such a great layering piece for this cooler than usual Spring weather we’ve been having!

Joseph A. Cold Drapefront Shoulder Cardigan

Here I am again wearing my favorite color combo. The funny thing is that I pulled these outfits out on different days and somehow ended up with the same color scheme. This time I am wearing the draped cold shoulder duster cardigan…also by Joseph A. I can’t say enough about how much I love the weight & quality of these cardigans. A lot of times cardigans can be bulky but both of these are super flattering and hang perfectly. And I’m loving the cold shoulder detail on this one.

Shopbop End of Season Sale

We are on Spring Break over here which means the beginning of warm weather vacation planning! So what better time to round up my Spring/Summer vacation must-haves than right now?!?

1. Straw Hat: You guys know that I am a hat fanatic to begin with but I’m especially crazy about them in the warmer months. Not only does a straw hat look cute, but I can use all the added sun protection I can get!

2. Sandals: I bought these exact sandals in white (even though my IG fam were not big fans) and I ended up loving them. This cognac color is the perfect neutral color and they are super comfy too.

3. Circle Towel: 2018 is the year that I will finally snag a circle towel! I love this one by Ban.do. And they’ve got cute matching accessories to go along with it!

4. Swimsuit: I fell in love with this swimsuit when it was first released during the winter months and it sold out almost immediately. I’m happy to report that it has been fully restocked and is available in all sizes!

5. Straw Tote: Straw bags (in all shapes & sizes) are all the rage right now. I like this classic tote because it’s big enough to fit all of my pool/beach essentials.

6. Aviators: If there’s one thing I like to splurge on, it’s new sunglasses. I know a lot of people don’t like to spend a lot since they can easily be misplaced/lost. But I am pretty good about keeping and wearing mine year after year (knock on wood!). I just picked up this pair that I’m saving for Opening Day at the track.

7. Sun Block: Ok, this is actually just a super cute phone case but I NEVER leave the house without sunscreen. In fact, I’m currently trying out a new brand that I will be sharing with you later this month.

8. Cover-Up: I love wearing an easy cover-up over my swimsuit. To be completely honest, I spend more time in my cover-ups than in my swimsuit so it may as well be cute! Plus…I love me a good LWD (little white dress).

9. Denim Shorts: Denim shorts are a vacation essential for me. They’re pretty much my warm weather uniform! These have just the right amount of distress and aren’t super short.

In other news, Shopbop just announced their HUGE end of season sale. It’s one of their best sales of the year so now is the time to stock up!
