Jcrew Fan Fringe Necklace

Jcrew Neon Tippi Sweater

Neon & Neutrals

Jcrew Fan Necklace

I once said on this blog that I don’t like shorts on myself. And now it seems that is all I ever wear! So yeah…never say never. =) I may just have to start wearing neon all of the time too because it makes me look like I have a tan. Although it might have something to do with the fact that I wore my new favorite blush. I NEVER used to wear blush. Seriously…I bought my first blush when I got my makeup done at the MAC counter once before my wedding back in 2008. And it’s been the only one I’ve used until now. Speaking of makeup, I never fill in my eyebrows either. I’m thinking I might start doing that too. Do you guys use a pencil or a shadow for your brows? Don’t worry…I’m not going for the sharpie look. Yet.

Denim Pencil Skirts

citizens of humanity denim skirt

A few weeks ago I was flipping through a magazine and came across a pic of a denim mini-skirt listed as a must-have item for summer. It’s been YEARS since I’ve worn a denim MINI skirt. I purchased the denim pencil skirt in the first pic last year but the mini above is at least ten years old. I spent a ridiculous amount on it for a “Dukes of Hazard” party we went to and it has sat in my closet unworn ever since. Not sure why I went with a skirt instead of shorts?! Wow…that was a lifetime ago. But now I’m curious…what are your thoughts on denim mini skirts? Love ’em or leave ’em? I thought they were kind of out of style but then again being a CA girl…they seem *almost* like a classic.

And now seeing these below, I’m starting to think I may need to get a new one…shorter than my pencil skirt but longer than my mini. =) LOL.

Essie "Geranium" Nail Polish

By Terry Creme de Rose

I was SO excited when I opened my mailbox to find a special Mother’s Day edition Glossybox waiting for me! And I may have squealed out loud when I saw the Essie nail polish that I don’t have yet. It’s the little things, right? Here’s what I got:

ESTÉE LAUDER Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara: Three different high-volume fibers create audacious, false-lash effects. Lustrous color leaves eyes brighter, wider, more seductive than ever. Build bigger, bolder, more extreme lashes at the Estée Lauder counter today. My thoughts: I like this mascara but the brush is a little larger than I usually like. I end up getting mascara all over my eyes with bigger brushes. Lol.

Biolage ExquisiteOil Replenishing Treatment: ExquisiteOil Replenishing Treatment with Moringa Oil blend replenishes in the way nature intended. These oils penetrate deeply into the cuticle to replenish without weighing hair down. Dull, lackluster hair is brought back to life with pure, weightless, exquisite shine. The versatile benefits are perfect for all hair types—individuals with thick, coarse hair or fine, thin hair will experience the same great results. My thoughts: My hair is getting too long and the ends are starting to feel like straw. This oil treatment is JUST what the Dr ordered.

ColorProof CrazySmooth Anti-Frizz Shampoo & Conditioner: Featuring a proprietary blend of oils, this formula is supercharged with the most efficacious smoothing and color extending ingredients available worldwide. Breakthrough technology eliminates unruly frizz and imparts brilliant shine while gently cleansing with an extremely mild, color protecting formula, returning hair to its healthiest condition ever. My thoughts: I haven’t used this yet but now that I color my roots EVERY four weeks, I am paying much more attention to what I use on my hair. I need all the color extending I can get. =)

ModelCo CHEEK + LIP Tint Rosy Red: CHEEK + LIP TINT is a light weight, dual purpose tint for cheeks and/or lips that delivers an instant & natural rosy glow to suit any skin tone. This transparent gel glides on smoothly, leaving the perfect amount of sheer colour for naturally flushed ‘just pinched’ cheeks and a sexy pout. My thoughts: My lips are the exact same color as my skin so I like lip tints for days that I don’t feel like putting on full makeup. It adds just the right amount of color to my nude lips!

By Terry Crème de Rose: A nourishing formula enriched in firming, protective and anti-aging active ingredients, this cream soothes and rejuvenates epidermis of lined skin lacking firmness. After use, skin is firmer, smoother, comforted and remains supple and hydrated all day long. My thoughts: I am a fan of By Terry products so I will definitely be using this when I am finished with my current face cream.

Essie Nail Polish: Essie’s classic poppy red shade, geranium, is a perennial favorite. Start with a base coat, then apply two coats of polish. Finish with a top coat to enhance shine and lasting power. My thoughts: YAY! How lucky am I to get a nail polish that I don’t already have!?! And I love the bright poppy color!

Spiegel Spring 2013

Did anyone watch Kristen Wiig on SNL last weekend? For some reason after I saw this skit, I suddenly had the urge to wear this blouse. Not sure why? LOL. But in all seriousness, I actually LOVE this bold print. It reminds me of something I would have picked up at an estate sale. I never would have thought to pair it with these red heels but then low and behold, I saw this gal rocking this exact same blouse with these exact same heels. How could I not give it a whirl? Especially with my recent obsession with all things matchy-matchy.
