I don’t know about you but I pretty much stopped working out as soon as the holiday season rolled around. I had envisioned bringing my son with me to the gym during the holiday break (he doesn’t mind the kids club) but he has been fighting off back to back colds so the gym hasn’t even been an option. And then my hubby took off a week of work which meant we went out for bagels/donuts every single morning (no joke) and ate out way more than we usually do. And then to top it off, I came down with strep throat! WOAH. It was my first time having strep and it was the most painful sore throat I’ve ever had in my entire life. I couldn’t even swallow water without wincing in pain. So needless to say, I am in desperate need of some motivation to get my butt back to the gym. So I couldn’t be happier to announce that I am once again partnering with Fabletics to share some of their FAB new styles with you.

HOW IT WORKS:

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Fabletics, it is a workout clothes membership that allows you to purchase stylish, high quality workout gear at affordable prices. The flexible VIP membership gets you up to 40-50% off retail prices, free shipping and you earn reward points for free gear! And the best part…you can shop OR log-in to your account to “skip the month” by the 5th of each month and you won’t be charged. If you don’t shop or skip the month by the 5th,  your card will be charged $49.95 which can then be used as a credit to shop or saved. They also have a deal right now where new VIP members can get two pairs of leggings for only $24! Oh, and membership can be cancelled at any time.

SIZING INFO:

Fabletics now offers sizes XXS-3X. I am wearing a size small in the pants, bra top, tank, long sleeve top and jacket. I am not positive but I believe they’ve changed their sizing to more of a vanity fit because I used to wear a medium in their bra tops but now I definitely wear a small. I also feel like I could size down to an XS in both the pants and the jacket. And I have not lost or gained weight since the last time I ordered from them. I am 5’6 and 120 lbs for reference.

I’M WEARING:

OUTFIT ONE: Salar Capris in Daydream Print, Maeve Reversible Sports Bra in Daydream Print, Dylana Long Sleeve Top in Dusty Rose. OUTFIT TWO: Autumn Tank Two in Dusty Rose, Sammy Jacket in Rouge, High Waisted Legging in Versilia Clear Print.

As most of you guys know, I take all of my own photos for the blog. But on this particular day I met up with a professional photographer referred to me by a local blogging buddy. And wouldn’t you know it…the day someone else is taking pictures for me…I left ALL OF MY MAKEUP in my car which I had taken to the dealership for repairs. So I had to dig through my old makeup drawer and try to do my makeup. I felt completely off and basically had bronzer on for foundation. It was a rough start. Thankfully, Johanna was a real sweetheart and SO easy to shoot with that I forgot all about my makeup blunder. I know, I know…blogger problems. But what a treat it was having someone else take my photos! You can check out more of her work here.

Ch Ch Changes

For Christmas I got a new laptop. Hooray, right?!?!  Except for every time I do, the display colors are so different that I go bonkers when I look at my pictures. My last computer had a yellow tint that made me insane. And now I see a rose/pink tint. I also shot these pics with a new lens so maybe that has something to do with it. But when I look at these pics on my iphone or old laptop, the images aren’t pink! Ugh!  I’ve tried all of the different display color options and am not loving any of them. I’m also getting used to the new “photos” app instead of “iphoto app” and there has been a learning curve there as well. My images are sharp whilst (I never say that word but it sounded right in my head…lol) editing but when I upload to WordPress, they are blurry. Anyone else experience this? Do my images look the same to you or have I completely lost my mind? Wait…don’t answer that. Happy new year, friends!

UPDATE: THANK YOU to Amy & Jordan for helping me fix the blurry issue which was due to the new retina display! I too, was ready to bring my new laptop back to Apple! So grateful!

Outfit Details: J.O.A. Dress, Dolce Vita OTK Boots (available in taupe here) & Rebecca Minkoff Crossbody Bag

If there’s one thing any woman wouldn’t mind finding under her tree for Christmas, it’s jewelry! You can never go wrong with fine jewelry and LAGOS has something for all the ladies on your list. It never goes out of style and is a sentimental gift that she will treasure always! I especially love pieces from LAGOS’ Caviar Collections because you can mix and match all of the pieces. I’ve acquired quite the collection of LAGOS pieces over the years and this time I added the Caviar Gold stacking ring to my collection. It pairs perfectly with my Infinity Gold Beaded X Ring as well as my Caviar Beaded Bracelets. In fact, I would be willing to bet that my infinity ring is the most often worn piece of jewelry I own (besides my wedding ring, obviously). It is timeless and can be worn day to day and just as easily be dressed up for sophisticated black tie occasions as well. And Santa if you’re reading…I wouldn’t mind finding this Caviar Gold Ring and/or this Signature Caviar Stacking Ring under my tree! Just sayin’.

Outfit Details:

Today’s look is feminine with a little bit of a twist. The velvet dress with ruffle cut-out detailing is very girly while the suede over the knee boots, corduroy cap and mixed metal jewelry give the look a bit of an edge. I like the think the look is “on-trend” without being too trendy.

What LAGOS pieces would you like to see under your tree this year?
