when i went to miami to shoot a few videos for crocs, i fell in LOVE with their beach line boat shoe. and not just because we filmed on a yacht. =) btw, for those of you that have asked, the videos should be available in a few weeks. =) the nautical trend is such a classic. and so easy to put together with staples you already have in your closet.

p.s. i am obsessed with the fact that these shoes are so light that they float. so i was a complete dork and let my shoes float down our creek.

it has been GORGEOUS here in southern ca. and i have been stuck inside with a nasty cold. on sunday i was feeling well enough to join the family outside and then yesterday i was MISERABLE all day long. i almost feel like my cold turned into the flu. ugh. i don’t get sick that often but when i do, it seems to last forever. i guess that multi-vitamin didn’t help after all. =)

i’m wearing: poncho cardigan c/o LAmade, paige denim jeggings (LOVE these), zara grey tee, lisa leonard connected hearts necklace (thanks to a giveaway i won on hollywood housewife), tote was a gift from my mom and my minnetonka fringe lace up boots are c/o indian village mall.

i’m embarrassed to admit how often i have worn this sweater since i received it. like, i literally thought the checker at our grocery store was going to notice i have been wearing it EVERY time i am there. i was going to complain about how tired i am of the chilly winter weather and then i noticed that it is sunny in these pics which were just taken this past weekend. two days of rain and we are getting cabin fever. i even busted out my old carmen electra workout cd (i love disc 2) because i was so cranky that i missed stroller strides.

i am a true size seven in shoes. which i think must be the most common size shoes for women. so can someone PLEASE tell me why zara doesn’t carry size 7??? i mean they have 6, 6.5 and then it jumps to 7.5!?!? whyyyyyy zara, why? i know their size 7.5 is way too big since i had to send back a pair a few months ago (yeah, the really cute neon ones dangit). but since these shoes are sling backs…i got lucky and the 6.5 “works”. they are very comfortable with the lower 3-ish inch heel. this outfit is a little matchy matchy but i mean come on…when the reds match that well, you have to wear them together right???
