I bought this dress last year on sale and never got around to wearing it until now. So thank goodness I am still off-the-shouder obsessed. I haven’t fallen in love with a particular style since the “peplum top” days. If you’ve been following my blog for several years then you prob remember the peplum obsession. =) And you get extra credit points if you remember the bubble necklace. Ahhhh the bubble necklace…I think that was the first accessory to be dubbed a “blogger” accessory. EVERYONE wore them. Including me…check out this post from 2012. You’re welcome. P.S. I still have and love that dress though!

Outfit Details: MICHAEL Michael Kors Off The Shoulder Dress (same exact dress/different print available here), Jessica Simpson Wedges (OMG…SO OLD) similar here but I like THESE even more, Stella & Dot Necklace, Tassel Bracelet was a Gift

Nautical

I don’t know about you but I am a sucker for all things nautical! And the knot cami & skipper pants from cabi’s new Yacht Cruise Collection are adorable together or as separates. I also am having a moment with the color yellow. My last three purchases have been in varying shades of yellow. Mustard, pale yellow and neon…yes, neon yellow! I don’t know what the pantone color of the year is…but it should be yellow if you ask me! =)

Happy April! But seriously…how is it already April?!?! It seems like we had the longest Winter ever but I gotta tell ya that Spring has come on strong and I am VERY happy about it. The flowers are in major bloom from all the rain we had. People are driving out to the desert to take pics with the poppies but I keep seeing wildflowers on the side of the roads/freeways that are so pretty I’ve thought about a photo shoot right there on the freeway off ramp…lol. In other good news, cabi just released their new arrivals (check out the Yacht Cruise Collection here) and I already found my Easter dress in the Aurora dress! I am obsessed with the crisscross/halter neckline.

I snapped these pics a few weeks ago and then totally forgot to share them here on the blog! Oops. Thankfully our weather has warmed up a bit since then so I think we are done with sweater weather for the most part. I hope, anyways! I think I’m also done with smaller brimmed fedora’s…this one looks so Freddy Krueger-ish to me now after wearing larger structured hats as of late. Oh well, what are ya gonna do…you win some, you lose some. =)

P.S. I’m totally going to have nightmares tonight for naming this post after the Nightmare on Elm Street song…eek!

Outfit Details: Madewell Sweater, AG Jeans Cropped Jeans (similar here, here), Dolce Vita Booties (almost identical), Old Navy Sherpa Coat, JCrew Wool Fedora

I’ve had several friends ask me how I possibly keep my 6 year old occupied long enough to take him with me shopping. The answer is simple…he’s been shopping with me since he was probably about a year old! It started out with having enough toys to keep him entertained. Then we moved on to snacks. Then the ipad was a life saver. And then he got too big to fit in a stroller so I was certain he would not last longer than a store or two. But he has surprised me and is quite the little shopper/helper. I’m sure his future wife will love me for this. =) A couple of weeks ago, we made a trip down to Westfield UTC Mall to do a little shopping (I also had to pick up a suit my husband was having altered at Nordstrom). We got there around noon so the first thing we did was stop by Lemonade which I thought was just going to be a little lemonade stand…turns out it has quite the menu!

After lunch we were off for a bit of shopping. I hit up a few of my favorite stores first…Madewell and Zara. I shared these overalls on Instagram and Facebook and got an overwhelming response that I NEED them in my life. I think YOU do too! =) I also got a lot of questions about my tennis shoes. I am wearing Vans hi-tops (BTW, there also happens to be a Vans store in the mall). I seriously considering snagging another pair of them. They are SO comfy…and remind me of my youth. The funny thing is…my son said I looked like a teenager when I came down the stairs wearing them. LOL. He actually has a pair too so we look like twinsies now.

Then I decided to stop by Lette to pick up some macarons for my hubby for Valentine’s Day. But I wouldn’t give them to him until I got my IG pic of them. They are too pretty not to share. You can see what I posted here.

And last but not least, I took my sweet boy to the LEGO Store and Geppetto’s. He was obsessed with the wall of LEGO’s separated by color. I have to admit, I seriously considered buying myself a stash of pink Lego’s because…why not?!? We finished our afternoon playing on the little playground structure before we made our way home. I think it’s safe to say that we both had a great time!

Thank you to Westfield UTC for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own.
