Sorry I’ve been MIA lately!!! Summer is in full effect here and I can’t seem to get back into the swing of things. Last night was literally the first time I had a good couple of hours to actually sit down and work on blog stuff since my son has been out of preschool! But it’s been a good kind of busy with family vacations, 4th of July celebrations, birthdays and more! I purchased this skirt a couple of weeks ago at Madewell and also ended up buying this dress, this romper (SO cute and now on MAJOR sale!) and this hat. I always forget that I have a Madewell right down the street but every time I make it over there, I end up buying way more than I go in for! Oops!

A couple of weeks ago I pulled out my Irresistible Me clip-in hair extensions on a whim and threw them in my hair. And of course, because I had nowhere to be, they turned out better than any other time I’ve worn them! This time I decided to skip the largest weft of hair (four clips) and just used the smaller wefts and I think it just felt more natural. This is actually my second set of Irresistible Me clip-in extensions. I thought I had done an updated post about these but apparently not! This set is shorter and lighter than my first set and I think they match my hair better (you can see the first set here). P.S. I LOVE love LOVE this dress. For Mother’s Day my mom and I drove up to spend the day in San Clemente and I found this dress at Swirl Boutique! How about this heat wave, California? You will never hear me complain about SUNSHINE and WARM weather. Well, actually…never say never. As I type this, my ankle is starting to swell and my pitting edema is kicking in…which always freaks me out. But at least the June gloom has subsided (for now). The day I took these pics, the sun was coming and going and let me tell you…trying to change the settings on my camera in-between each shot (while using a tripod & remote) was testing my patience. But I kept my cool in this super light gauzy dress. It is listed as a “slip dress” and since I personally find Free People to run small, I sized up to a medium. The skirt of the dress is a little see-through but I wore black spanx underneath and you really couldn’t see anything.
