Surprise! It’s me again! I can’t believe I used to blog five days a week. Just three days a week keeps me busy enough now! I also can’t believe my roots can be this bad in just three weeks. The Ultimate Designer Giveaway

Every Fall/Winter, I stock up on new cardigans. They are the perfect light layering piece for Southern CA weather. I pretty much live in them so I should probably just apologize now because you are going to be seeing a ton of them here on the blog. Starting with this Countryside Sweater cardigan from CAbi. CAbi just released their New Arrivals Two collection called “Welcome Joy” TODAY which included twelve new pieces for Fall. I will be styling a few pieces here on the blog in the coming week but had to start with the Serenity Tee. It is SO super cozy (like for reals…I want to wear it to workout, all day long and then to bed!) and matches the Countryside Sweater perfectly. I also am obsessed with the color…heather navy…it’s not quite gray and not quite navy. Definitely a new fave!

Did you know that there are only 6 more weekends to shop for Christmas?!?! SIX, people. Eeeeek!!! This year I vowed to get a head start on my shopping list and thanks to Kohl’s, I’ve already checked a few major gifts off my list! I’ve always loved Kohl’s gift sections and have picked up a few fun stocking stuffers for my husband over the years. One of his favorites being this crank radio. A couple of years ago, we were without power for a full day and it was like Armageddon. The stores were all sold out of ice and closing early. And we were all sitting around a tiny little radio that thankfully still had battery life in it so our cell phone batteries didn’t die (lord knows how since we NEVER use it). So the crank radio was THE PERFECT gift. This year, my hubby has repeatedly mentioned that he wants a Fitbit. I also purchased the Beats by Dre Pill Bluetooth Speaker, which is more like a gift for both of us! We ALWAYS bring our own bluetooth speaker with us when we travel but the one we have is on its last leg. I can’t wait to use it! Oh, and I also got Eep this alarm clock that helps teach kids how to tell time. But the best part is that it lights up when it is OK to get up. I don’t know about you but I am not about the 5am wake-up from my kiddo. Now he knows that he can get up and play when his alarm clock lights up! OK, I’ll admit it. I have a bit of a poncho obsession. And Golden Tote must’ve got the memo because this knit turtleneck poncho was another one of the surprise items in my October tote. When I first bought this skirt, I didn’t really think I would like (or wear) it nearly as much as I have. It’s sort of a strange length for me. I usually prefer shorter hemlines as they disguise my hips better (contrary to what most guides recommend for ladies with hips). But I love the pockets and it is super soft, especially for faux leather. You can see the other ways I’ve worn it on the blog here, here and here.
