Well, my son was sick all last week and unfortunately now it’s my turn. Thankfully I didn’t get the upset stomach like he did, but I do forget every year how miserable a cold can be! But pretty much nothing will stop me from missing a hair appointment though. Back to my “Kate plus 8” haircut as my husband calls it. LOL.

Is there anything better than good natural lighting? I rarely shoot down in our oak grove because it’s pretty dark. But on this day, the light was shining through just perfectly. Or maybe it’s just the autumnal leaves that made for a great backdrop. Either way, I’m hoping I can duplicate it for our family photos this year. Surprise! It’s me again! I can’t believe I used to blog five days a week. Just three days a week keeps me busy enough now! I also can’t believe my roots can be this bad in just three weeks. The Ultimate Designer Giveaway

Every Fall/Winter, I stock up on new cardigans. They are the perfect light layering piece for Southern CA weather. I pretty much live in them so I should probably just apologize now because you are going to be seeing a ton of them here on the blog. Starting with this Countryside Sweater cardigan from CAbi. CAbi just released their New Arrivals Two collection called “Welcome Joy” TODAY which included twelve new pieces for Fall. I will be styling a few pieces here on the blog in the coming week but had to start with the Serenity Tee. It is SO super cozy (like for reals…I want to wear it to workout, all day long and then to bed!) and matches the Countryside Sweater perfectly. I also am obsessed with the color…heather navy…it’s not quite gray and not quite navy. Definitely a new fave!

Did you know that there are only 6 more weekends to shop for Christmas?!?! SIX, people. Eeeeek!!! This year I vowed to get a head start on my shopping list and thanks to Kohl’s, I’ve already checked a few major gifts off my list! Oh, and I also got Eep this alarm clock that helps teach kids how to tell time. But the best part is that it lights up when it is OK to get up. I don’t know about you but I am not about the 5am wake-up from my kiddo. Now he knows that he can get up and play when his alarm clock lights up! Kohl’s has a great selection of electronics in store but there is even more available online. The gift guide above includes just a few of my favorite things.
