OK, I’ll admit it. I have a bit of a poncho obsession. And Golden Tote must’ve got the memo because this knit turtleneck poncho was another one of the surprise items in my October tote. We were up every two hours with him last night so we are all pretty exhausted today. ZzZzZz

When I first bought this skirt, I didn’t really think I would like (or wear) it nearly as much as I have. It’s sort of a strange length for me. I usually prefer shorter hemlines as they disguise my hips better (contrary to what most guides recommend for ladies with hips). But I love the pockets and it is super soft, especially for faux leather. You can see the other ways I’ve worn it on the blog here, here and here.

I’ve been waiting at least ten years to pull out these corduroy flares and wear them again. They were a splurge for me many many years ago so I held on to them hoping flares would make a comeback. How is it that every year I am still SHOCKED at how early it gets dark when the time changes? I am SO not a fan. I swear even the brightness of the sun changes and there are dark shadows everywhere. Although when I was a kid, I loved it because it meant more time to trick-or-treat. Speaking of Halloween, I’ve mentioned here on the blog that I am not one to usually dress up. In the last ten years, the most I’ve done is thrown on cat ears. But for some reason this year we literally decided LAST minute to dress up. In fact, I dressed up in TWO different costumes. I had forgotten how fun it is to get dressed up. You can see both of them here.

I’m pretty sure that after blogging for five years now (in addition to old age), I repeat myself often. So forgive me if I’ve already told you guys this but…I think I have a Target addiction. I literally spent TWO HOURS there on Wednesday. I don’t even know how this is possible. Well, actually I do. Whenever I shop at Target, I start in the women’s clothing department and if I see anything cute, I try it on and snap pics to text to two of my girlfriends. Stuff sells out so quick at our store that I always give them a heads up when I come across something cute. This time it was this lightweight duster cardigan. I bought it in two colors (cream & olive green).
