Bailey 44 Twisted Pair Sweater

Well, once again we are in the middle of a crazy heat wave so as I type this I am sitting in my blazing hot house (83 in my house right now and 95 outside, no joke!) and dreaming of the day that I can actually wear this sweater without sweating. Don’t get me wrong….I LIVE for warm weather…but I prefer to be on a beach with a book or in the desert by the pool with a mojito in hand!!! But I also LOVE Fall fashion!!! So I am very excited to be styling not one but two looks today from Bailey44‘s new Fall Collection. I immediately fell in love with the Twisted Pair Sweater.  I mean, how could you not? It’s so unique! Although I originally wanted to wear it with my faux leather leggings (as shown on their website), that wasn’t an option so I decided to keep it edgy and wear it over a faux leather detailed drop waist dress and moto boots.

For my second look, I am wearing the stunning Valerie Dress. You can’t really tell in the pics but the cut-outs actually have a sheer mesh which I love. I don’t normally gravitate towards fitted dresses but I just thought it was so sophisticated and pretty that I had to give it a try. And I’m so glad I did because I was pleasantly surprised with how flattering it is on! Now all I need is for my hubby to take me out to a fancy dinner. For once, I know what I’ll be wearing!

ASOS Belted Shift Dress

ASOS Shift Dress

I bought this dress several months ago and of course didn’t get around to wearing it until after Labor Day. So I guess it’s a good thing that I don’t follow fashion rules! Anywho…it is now sold out except for one size (the last time I checked) so I was SO excited when I came across this one (seriously….identical!) to share with you guys. And wouldn’t you know it…it sold out almost immediately! UGH. It even came in black too which I was going to grab for myself. The good news is that F21 usually re-stocks popular items so you can always click on the size you want and request that they e-mail you when/if it is back in stock. Oh, and I bought these shoes forever ago and just got around to wearing them too. I am amazed at how comfy they are! If you can call heels comfy…

CAbi Cargo Pants

Floral Kimono Cargo Pants

I have a confession to make. I am not very good at remixing my wardrobe. I tend to wear something one way and then each time I reach for it, I wear it the exact same way. Which is easy in the sense that I don’t have to think too much about what to wear. But I just know I could get a lot more mileage out of my favorite pieces if I actually took the time to plan outfits in advance. So I was pretty excited when I realized that this kimono matched my new CAbi cargo’s perfectly. I’ve worn it with jeans and over a white dress, but I think this autumnal color combo is my favorite yet!

CAbi just released their new Fall arrivals and I could NOT wait to get my hands on their Sloan Jacket. I’ve been wanting a red coat for YEARS. It is still WAY WAY too hot to wear it, but I threw it on for a quick outfit post so you guys could get a glimpse of it before it sells out. They show it on their website with their distressed boyfriends jeans (which I also love!) but I decided to go with a little mod 60’s vibe and wear it with a short a line dress and booties!
