Yesterday we took Eep to Disneyland for his 5th birthday. So unfortunately by the time we got home at 11pm, I was just too dang tired to put a post together for today. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Shopping for jeans is *almost* as bad as bathing suit shopping in my book. Ok, nothing is that bad. BUT, I do have to try on TON of different styles, brands and sizes to find a pair that fits just right. I get emails from dozens of PR firms telling me about all of the latest and greatest products but unfortunately I just don’t have the time to share most of them. But THIS collection spoke to me and since Shopbop is one of my favorite one-stop-shops, I thought you might enjoy it as well. I’m not one to dress up for Halloween. To be honest, I can’t even remember the last time I dressed up! It must’ve been when I was in my twenties. But a couple of weeks ago I brought Eep with me for a quick stop at Swirl Boutique. I went in looking for a new outfit for date night with my hubby and instead came out with a new Chaser sweatshirt. With bats on it. And Eep was ecstatic. We go for “nature walks” almost every night and lately we’ve been seeing a ton of bats so he got a real kick out of it. And now I can’t wait to wear it to his school for his Halloween parade. Oh, and for trick-or-treating, of course!

I originally bought this tunic with visions of wearing it with “jeggings” or something similar but it is just WAY TOO HOT to wear it any way other than a dress at the moment. Most days I feel like my days are numbered when it comes to wearing short skirts/dresses, but then I think of Jennifer Aniston & Jennifer Lopez and say “what the heck”. Forty is the new thirty, afterall. =) I love the juxtaposition of a feminine dress and edgy moto boots anyway. Well my friends…it is OFFICIALLY the first day of Fall. Time for pumpkin spice lattes, flu shots (lol…but for real though) and sweater weather. Well, sort of. It is still WAY too hot for sweaters here but that hasn’t stopped me from getting in the Fall spirit. I even painted my nails my favorite dark hue to kick off the new season. Today I decided to wear a few of my favorite transitional pieces as well as this new Gray Monroe striped tee. I was immediately drawn to this top because it’s not just another striped tee. The slightly sheer peplum just gives it a little something extra and almost looks as though I am doing a little light layering.
