I have a confession to make. I am not very good at remixing my wardrobe. I tend to wear something one way and then each time I reach for it, I wear it the exact same way. Which is easy in the sense that I don’t have to think too much about what to wear. But I just know I could get a lot more mileage out of my favorite pieces if I actually took the time to plan outfits in advance. So I was pretty excited when I realized that this kimono matched my new CAbi cargo’s perfectly. I’ve worn it with jeans and over a white dress, but I think this autumnal color combo is my favorite yet!

CAbi just released their new Fall arrivals and I could NOT wait to get my hands on their Sloan Jacket. I’ve been wanting a red coat for YEARS. It is still WAY WAY too hot to wear it, but I threw it on for a quick outfit post so you guys could get a glimpse of it before it sells out. Yesterday we took Eep to Disneyland for his 5th birthday. So unfortunately by the time we got home at 11pm, I was just too dang tired to put a post together for today. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Shopping for jeans is *almost* as bad as bathing suit shopping in my book. Ok, nothing is that bad. BUT, I do have to try on TON of different styles, brands and sizes to find a pair that fits just right. I get emails from dozens of PR firms telling me about all of the latest and greatest products but unfortunately I just don’t have the time to share most of them. I’m not one to dress up for Halloween. To be honest, I can’t even remember the last time I dressed up! It must’ve been when I was in my twenties. But a couple of weeks ago I brought Eep with me for a quick stop at Swirl Boutique. I went in looking for a new outfit for date night with my hubby and instead came out with a new Chaser sweatshirt. With bats on it. And Eep was ecstatic. We go for “nature walks” almost every night and lately we’ve been seeing a ton of bats so he got a real kick out of it. And now I can’t wait to wear it to his school for his Halloween parade. Oh, and for trick-or-treating, of course!

P.S. My  Chaser Brand “I Heart Camping” sweatshirt was a HIT when we went camping this Summer!
