I originally bought this tunic with visions of wearing it with “jeggings” or something similar but it is just WAY TOO HOT to wear it any way other than a dress at the moment. Most days I feel like my days are numbered when it comes to wearing short skirts/dresses, but then I think of Jennifer Aniston & Jennifer Lopez and say “what the heck”. Forty is the new thirty, afterall. =) I love the juxtaposition of a feminine dress and edgy moto boots anyway. Well my friends…it is OFFICIALLY the first day of Fall. Time for pumpkin spice lattes, flu shots (lol…but for real though) and sweater weather. Well, sort of. It is still WAY too hot for sweaters here but that hasn’t stopped me from getting in the Fall spirit. I even painted my nails my favorite dark hue to kick off the new season. Today I decided to wear a few of my favorite transitional pieces as well as this new Gray Monroe striped tee. I was immediately drawn to this top because it’s not just another striped tee. The slightly sheer peplum just gives it a little something extra and almost looks as though I am doing a little light layering.

This weekend my husband’s best friend from high school and his wife came to visit us from Philadelphia. It was a weekend of great food, great drinks and great company. A few months ago I participated in an IG loop giveaway and was introduced to Jenny Collier’s namesake lifestyle blog.
