Weekly Linkup

Leather Shorts Horn Necklace Saddle Bag

Yesterday it was 86 degrees in my house and 93 outside. And it’s supposed to be even warmer the next couple of days. On a positive note, I think I may have finally convinced my husband that WE NEED AIR CONDITIONING. I hate to complain about warm weather because I LIVE for sunny days. But I am starting to get just a teensy bit envious of all of the cute Fall fashion I am seeing on the blogosphere! Ssshhhhh…who said that? I think the heat is getting to me. =)

P.S. It is Wednesday Linkup Day! Please feel free to add your #ootd to the linkup below. All I ask is that you link back to The Stylish Housewife in your post. Unfortunately, brands promoting their online boutiques will be removed from the linkup. I can’t wait to see what you guys are wearing!

Oh you know, just another casual outfit to run to the store in. Kidding. Actually I was trying on outfits trying to figure out what to wear out for date night this weekend and decided to snap a few pics for the blog. I think we have a winner. Although even when I think I know what I’m wearing for a night out, I usually still end up changing last minute and running out the door with a pile of clothes on the floor behind me. Ha! Hope you guys have a wonderful weekend!

Wear It Now Wear It Later

Last week I took my son to Chuck E. Cheese for an end of Summer play date with one of his best buddies. It tests every ounce of my patience to go there but he loves it so I give in. Btw, it still bums me out that the Rock-afire Explosion band is no longer a thing…I always thought Mitzi Mozzarella was SO cool! At least the pizza is better than I remember it being when I was a kid. But my point of telling this story was that there is an Old Navy right next door. I made a deal with Eep that if we went to Chuck E. Cheese for him, he would have to be a good boy while we did a little back to school shopping for him after. Surprisingly, he usually holds up his end of the deal very well. After we found a few things for him, I did a quick once over for me. I grabbed this hat & this cute bag and we hurried to the end of the checkout line. And then JUST as I was about to walk up to the register, I saw this adorable romper on a rack and I made the split decision to just buy it without trying it on. You might remember that I mentioned before that sizing is always a little wonky for me at Old Navy so it was a little risky but for the price…I couldn’t pass it up. The print/colors were calling my name and I was beyond thrilled when I got home and it fit JUST RIGHT. Can you say meant to be?

Southern CA seems to have just gotten the memo that it is Summer so while I’m still able to wear rompers & sandals, some of you guys are already experiencing Fall weather. So I decided to do a little “Wear It Now, Wear It Later” feature and show you how I will be transitioning my Summer favorites into Fall looks.

We had such a nice relaxing weekend. My husband had his monthly poker game at our house on Friday night which means I get to watch all of the shows my husband can’t stand (reality tv) without hearing him complain every 5 minutes…lol. Then on Saturday, Eep had a swim lesson and we went out to lunch afterwards. Then on Sunday we FINALLY got to go see Trainwreck (Amy Schumer movie) in the theater. It was hilarious! Did you see it?

Clorox Control Products

As I mentioned on the blog earlier this week, I have always loved wearing white! In fact, I JUST ordered four of my favorite white t-shirts last week. You would think with an almost five year old who loves playing outside all day every day (and loves making mud pies even more), that white would be my least favorite color to wear. But old habits die hard. So as you can imagine, bleach has always been a friend of mine. Although…is it just me or do you also inevitably end up splashing on your clothes/shoes? Well, my friends, if you’re anything like me…you are going to love this news. Clorox® just came out with a new line of control products that provides the power of bleach that we’ve grown to know and love but without the spilling and splashing!

Clorox Control Products

With new Clorox® Control Bleach CrystalsTM and Clorox® Control Bleach PacksTM, you can bleach with confidence without the worry of possible spills and splashes. To demonstrate the power of Clorox® Control products, Clorox® invited me to participate in their #BleachInYourBest challenge! As soon as I opened up these packages, I knew I was safe to throw on my favorite LBD (little black dress) and give these products a try. But first, a little more about each product:

Clorox® Control Bleach CrystalsTM are Clorox® bleach in a solid crystalized form and are water activated. So you simply add them to your whites (or add them to the proper amount of water to clean hard surfaces) in the laundry machine and tah dah…no splashing or spills! Please note though that these should be added directly into the washing machine drum, not your detergent trays. For the best results, Clorox® recommends adding them about 5 minutes into the wash cycle.

Clorox® Control Bleach PacksTM are convenient, pre-measured, water-activated pouches that dissolve completely in water. The single-use pouches require no measuring or pouring which means no more splashing or spilling! I have to admit that these are my faves…they are just too easy to use. Simply throw one pack in the washing machine (or add to the proper amount of water to clean toilets, sinks, tubs and other hard surfaces) and you are done!

Clorox Control Bleach Packs

Seriously…it does not get any easier than this. No more changing into your grubby clothes just to throw a load of laundry in the wash! And even better…no more worrying about accidentally spilling bleach on your favorite clothes!

Visit www.Clorox.com for inspiration on how you can #BleachInYourBest using Clorox® Control products.
