I found this dress hanging on a rack all by its lonesome and I can’t even tell you how EXCITED I was when I saw that it was in my size. It sort of reminds me of the Flynn Skye Bardot Dress although this one happens to be a fraction of the price. The funny thing is that it also reminds me of my mom’s bridesmaid dresses circa 1981.

You guys probably know by now that I LOVE wearing dresses. Mostly because you don’t have to think about what to wear with a dress. It’s on and you’re done (for the most part). But secondly because I just feel cuter in them! What can I say…I’m a girlie girl. So when I started hearing the buzz about the new DRESSBAR at dressbarn, I couldn’t wait to see what it was all about. Printed lace might just be the perfect feminine combo. But wait….there’s more! POCKETS. This dress has pockets. I’m impressed. P.S. I got a new iPhone tripod & remote so have been having fun snapping more candid shots instead of always using my DSLR and uploading them (or using the DREADED reverse camera feature…YIKES). This maxi dress may look pretty simple at first glance but then….HEY…check out the side slits…and THEN you turn around and BAM…check out the back of this dress! Definitely a statement dress…but the best part…it feels like pajamas on. Also, you may have noticed that I am obsessed with Indah “bralettes”. They are so great for wearing underneath fun peek-a-boo pieces like this dress. I have it in python print (see last pic above), leopard print and black…but Swirl carries it in several colors (red, yellow & white come to mind).

I can honestly say that I am a fan of “festival fashion” all year round. Well, for the most part. Denim cut-offs are a staple in my wardrobe and I’ve acquired quite the collection of kimono’s over the last few years. Kimono’s are the perfect light layering piece for California weather.
