My husband and I are obsessed with the show “Shark Tank” and have been watching reruns/marathons on DVR non-stop. We even watch shows we’ve seen before because it is THAT good. If you’re not familiar with the show, you can read about it here. But basically it is a reality type (unscripted) show about entrepreneurs who pitch their business ideas or try and get the “sharks” rather, to invest in their companies. Last week, or maybe it was the week before, we saw a rerun featuring Litter Jewelry. I immediately grabbed my phone and looked them up before even knowing if they had gotten a deal or not. Thankfully they had and are still in business! So needless to say, I am now the proud owner of one of their pieces…this arrowhead hat chain. I mean, what a great idea right? WHY didn’t I think of throwing a necklace around a hat brim before? GENIUS. They also make custom one-of-a-kind pieces as well as gorgeous boho chain headpieces, body chains and more. On another note, I haven’t watched The Bachelor in years because I just couldn’t stand hearing…the most dramatic rose ceremony ever….one more time. And then I saw a clip on The Soup and got roped into watching an episode. I think I will stick to watching Shark Tank!

Philosophy Booster C Powder

Vitamin C seems to be all the rage these days in the anti-aging department so I could not wait to add this power product to my routine. I decided to try Philosophy’s Turbo Booster C Powder because it can be mixed in with ANY serum or moisturizer. I don’t know about you but I always get confused as to what order you are supposed to put your serums/moisturizers/spf’s on. I’ve been mixing it with my favorite CeraVe face moisturizer with SPF so I feel like I am getting three steps done in one. I honestly feel like my skin looks brighter and primed as soon as I put it on. And since this is a “convertible” vitamin c product, you don’t have to worry about losing potency as you do with other products. I imagine some people will find it kind of messy but as long as you pump your lotion/serum into the palm of your hands (and not your tips of your fingers) and then mix in your scoop of powder, it is a lot less messy and you won’t lose as much product. I’ve been using this since I got it for Christmas and love it! Have you added Vitamin C to your skincare routine? I’d love to hear your faves in the comments!

Golden Globes 2015 Hair Inspiration

After watching the Golden Globes last night, I am seriously considering whacking my hair off again!!! And bleaching the crap out of it like Sienna Miller. I am seriously in LOVE with her new short do! Or maybe just dying it dark a’ la Jenna Dewan-Tatum. Although dark hair would require me to be at the hair salon even more than I am now! BTW, how insane is Kate Hudson’s body? And how is Jane Fonda 70+ years old? Also, I didn’t realize how many movies George Clooney has been in?!? How are we feeling about his wife’s white gloves? They seemed very Julia Roberts to me. Did you watch the award show? What were your favorite/least favorite looks?

Turtleneck

AG Jeans Justfab Reversible Tote Jcrew Wool Fedora Madewell Turtleneck Sweater

I bought these jeans last year and my hubby despised them. I mostly wore them with flats which did kind of chop my legs which wasn’t the most flattering look. I think they look a lot better with a chunky heel as I wore them here. The cuff is sewn up so maybe next year I will take down the cuff and roll them. Or make them into cut-offs. Or keep wearing them as is just to annoy him. Ha ha!

Outfit Details:
Madewell Always Turtleneck Sweater
AG Cuffed Jeans (last year…sold out)
Idaho Booties c/o DUO Boots
Madewell Trouser Socks
Reversible Tote c/o Justfab (very similar available here also)
Jcrew Bailey Felt Hat (grey is sold out but still available in black, olive & navy)

Lionesse 4P Curling Iron

Lionesse Beauty Bar recently sent me over their four part clipless curling iron and I have been playing with it non-stop since it arrived. I’ve been using a clipless curling iron for years, but having ONE that has FOUR different barrels is SO much fun!

Lionesse 4P Curling Wand Set

Depending on how tight you want your curls to be, you can simply switch the barrels with a click of a button. I usually use a 25mm barrel but for the pic below, I went with the 32mm to create very loose beachy waves. The iron has a high low setting with the maximum temp being 400 degrees. My hair doesn’t hold curl very well so I usually go with a higher temp although I have fine hair (and I’m paranoid to burn my hair) so I never hold my hair on ANY curling iron for longer than 8 seconds. This set also comes with a protective glove which I highly recommend using if you are new to clipless irons. I am used to it so I go without but I have singed my neck on many occasions…#OUCH. I also highly recommend using a heat protectant whenever you use ANY heat styling tools on your hair. I am a little nutty about it so I actually use two different heat protectants which are both applied before you even blow-dry your hair! You can see the ones I use here and here.

Lionesse 4 Piece Clipless Iron
