I’ve been wearing my hair short for over a year now, but over the summer I went from a long bob (lob) to an ever shorter more extreme a-line cut (seen here).  As much as I loved having a “hairstyle”, I did miss being able to pull my hair into a ponytail! So I decided to grow my hair out. But as you guys know, this in-between length has been driving me crazy! I’ve had tape-in extensions just on my sides of my hair  before (for fullness) but this time I went for the whole shebang! The first pic is of my hair before (don’t mind the lovely kink from my hair being up in a clip), during and after. I had quite a blunt cut so we added just the tiniest bit of layering to the back so that it would blend better with the extensions.

And here it is curled. The first and second day I felt like I had a sign on my forehead that said, “I HAVE EXTENSIONS”! But so far everyone is impressed by not only how well they blend but how perfectly the color matches! For anyone interested, we used three boxes of hair and mixed two colors (butterscotch and cocoa twist). If you live locally, I HIGHLY recommend my hairdresser Alisa from Bombshell 101 in Encinitas. She’s not only one of my best friends of 20+ years, but the only person I trust with my hair!

As I’ve mentioned a few times, I usually shop Forever 21’s “Love 21” line since it runs a half size bigger than their regular junior sizing. But this coat is from their regular line (although the tag says it’s from their “premium line”) and the small fits perfectly. I promise you will LOVE it! Have a great weekend friends.

With the holiday season in full swing, I thought I would share a little holiday outfit inspiration! I’ve had this skirt for years and even shared 5 ways to wear it on the blog. Did you know that Christmas is just 17 days away?!?! We only have TWO weekends left to shop! Aggghhhh! On the bright side, I did get 90% of our Christmas cards out this weekend. But even more exciting than that…Eep actually SAT ON SANTA’S LAP all by himself this year…with NO TEARS! FINALLY! I was so proud of him. We also went to our first holiday party this weekend. It was a busy weekend to say the least. This week we’ve got cookie decorating parties, snowman building & ice skating at Legoland and an ugly Christmas sweater party to attend. At least I know what I’ll be wearing to that one!
