I bought this dress probably close to a year ago and never got around to wearing it. So this weekend I decided to put it on and take pics to help me decide if it’s a keeper or not. After hemming and hawing for a bit, I’ve decided to part ways with it so will be adding it (and a few other items) to my Poshmark closet later today. It may have something to do with the fact that I just don’t care for it with these boots but I desperately need to make room in my closet anyways so off it goes!

TGIF! TGIF! TGIF! Although…we have quite a busy weekend lined up including our first professional family photos. I still have NO idea what I’m wearing so I’m pretty sure I will have my entire closet on the floor scrambling at the last minute (as per usual). We are having the photographer come to our house to shoot so I can’t wait to see where he thinks we should take our pics. According to WhoWhatWear.com, belting scarves is the thing to do again. I remember when I first started blogging and Sydney of The Daybook was one of my biggest blogger inspirations. Hard to believe she is now a mom of TWO…but I digress. Belting a scarf seemed like BEYOND fashion forward to me at the time but I gave it a whirl in this post from 2011. And thank goodness she also taught me how to tuck in my long belt ends too. Way back when, I would have just had the end of the belt poking out all awkward I’m sure. =) My scarf today is more of a poncho or blanket scarf (I found it in the scarf section at Kohls) but it stayed put better than I thought it was going to. I’m looking forward to trying this look again with a traditional scarf next time!

We FINALLY got a taste of Fall weather this weekend! It rained a little on Saturday so after our morning drive for donuts AND bagels, we spent most of the day indoors playing on our computers and watching movies. It was wonderful. The only problem is that with the time change I forget every year how early we lose sunlight. So I scrambled to snap these pics for the blog today before the sun set.
